About your therapist Poppy Fielding, MTI, IIHHT, MFHT:
I qualified in a Diploma in Holistic Therapies in 2006, from the Royal Forest of Dean College, where I learned skills in Swedish Body Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Indian Head Massage, and completed the first year of BSc (Hons) Complementary Therapies degree course at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (now Cardiff Met) in 2007. During the year I also studied for and qualified in the Massage Training Institute Holistic Massage Diploma. Since completing these courses, I have expanded my treatment repertoire with practitioner courses in Thai Foot Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Hopi Ear Candling, Hands Free Massage, Holistic Facials, Facial Reflexology, additional reflexology CPD courses including VRT (Vertical Reflex Therapy) and Working with Essential Oils in Pregnancy & Childbirth. I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists, following a strict Code of Ethics. I hold public liability insurance, also through the FHT (via Hiscox). In addition to my private practise I have previously worked as a volunteer Complementary Therapist for St. David’s Foundation Hospice, where I offered Reflexology and Massage treatments to people living with cancer and other life threatening illnesses. I also have gained experience working as a maternity care assistant within the NHS, assisting and facilitating the services provided by midwives and obstetric consultants and registrars. I currently give reflexology treatments to clients who are referred to me through the charity '2 Wish Upon a Star' who offer a wide range of support and services to bereaved families of children and young adults in Wales. All of these roles have been/are a true privilege to be a part of.
