Baird Optometrists is an independent opticians with practices on Callander Main Street and Dunblane High Street. Andrew Baird was brought up in North Wales before attending Cardiff University where he gained a degree with honours in Optometry before going on to pass his professional examinations in 2000, becoming a member of the College of Optometrists. Since qualification, Andrew has worked in city centre practices and smaller independent practices. In 2003, Andrew married Fiona and the following year moved to Scotland. In 2011, Andrew Baird Optometrist opened in Callander. Initially, the practice opened only 3 days per week but due to great local support, it soon became possible to open 5 days. Fiona Baird (nee Kenny) grew up in Dunblane, attending Dunblane High School before studying optometry at Glasgow Caledonian University. After also passing her professional examinations in 2000, Fiona has spent the past 20 years balancing a successful career in Optometry with being a hard working Mum. In October 2020, Baird Optometrists opened on Dunblane High Street. With the latest optometric technology and a desire to provide the best in customer service, Fiona, Andrew and their team look forward to welcoming new patients for years to come. The practice stocks a wide range of frames from budget to designers including Oakley, RayBan, Michael Kors, Emporio Armani, Ted Baker, Bolle and more. We also offer the latest HOYA lenses.
