I took this selfie just before I went off as I wanted to have a memory of the last time at Venachar Lochside before I became a mum. We didn’t know the gender and with all the anticipation, you can see how excited I was for what was to come!

I am now feeling much more tired than I did when this selfie was taken! 🤣 The lack of sleep has been much harder than I could have imagined, but we are getting through it and been so happy to see Venachar Lochside is busier than ever even without us there to run it 😊

I want to say a huge well done Kyla, Sue, Karen, Nick, Susannah, Samantha, Sam, Shakey, Zara, and those who have been popping back in picking up shifts to help us out while we look for extra permanent staff.

I wanted to let everyone know we are doing really well. All three of us are healthy and happy, despite being really tired! We have been popping into Venachar Lochside and it has been so lovely to see you all when we get the chance. Everyone has been so kind and we have been recieving loads of lovely cards and presents. We are really grateful for all your support 🩵

We are hiring our first ever “Sauna Host” 🩵

We’re looking for an outdoor lover that is really sociable and can make all our guests feel super welcome as they are checking into our sauna! Please send this to someone you know looking for a career change, or that has a passion for customer relations, the outdoors, and being a part of a wee family working to be a hub for the community!

Our aim with this role is to give someone the opportunity to gain experience with full autonomy, running their own part of the business. You’ll be responsible for operating the sauna and making sure guests have an amazing time, and can add this experience to your CV.

If we meet you at the Torrie Barn open day tomorrow, then this video is perfect for you!

We recently catered Jackie’s 60th birthday, the owner of Torrie Barn, and she was delighted with the food and service! She now recommends us to couples hosting their weddings and events there, that is why we will be going to the open day tomorrow!

While we are home looking after our new baby, Sam has been a life saver, helping out Nick and Susannah in the kitchen. We have been so impressed by him ☺️

We asked him to make a wee video of him talking us through his favourite dishes, if you want to try them when you come they are the:

Yesterday I received a text from Meghan and Bradley letting me know that their baby has arrived and everyone is healthy.

They filmed this video in advance and asked me to upload it once they had shared the great news, just to keep all our customers updated. Even though they will be off for two weeks, there will still be a really strong team here to make sure you have a great time in the sauna and enjoy some delicious food.

“I have been looking for a casual restaurant to go with friends and family near my home in Callander!”

That is why we updated our menu to be small sharing plates (plus our famous fish & chips of course!)

Our new menu has been perfected by our chef team, Bradley, Sam, and Nick, you are going to absolutely love it!

The garden where we get our flowers is quietly changing lives in Stirling 👇🏼

Green Routes gives its students the confidence, skills and knowledge they need to potentially enter the workforce one day. They work incredibly hard and produce the beautiful flowers you see on the tables in the restaurant, all while having a great laugh together. 🥰

It was an absolute pleasure to meet Sean, Robyn, Ryan and Ashleigh while they were working, along with all the kind volunteers who help make it happen.

Hopefully next time you’re in and notice the flowers on the tables, you’ll know a little more of the VL story behind them 🩵

I now know why Mums ask for a special treat just once a year as I will be one by the end of this week!
