NHK Opticians in Callington

Local Independent Opticians in Plymouth, South West Devon and Cornwall since 1979.

Established by Peter Noakes, Nick Habermehl and Andrew Kerr in 1979, with the sole aim of providing the highest standards of clinical expertise in their local communities. With all three founding Opticians still in practice today, this ethos has remained unchanged for 40 years.

All our practitioners are given complete clinical freedom to carry out additional assessments, fit any types or makes of contact lens and recommend just about any spectacle lens currently available. How does this benefit you? It means you are always receiving the very best advice and recommendations without external commercial pressures dictating what we offer.

Our Opticians have access to the very latest 3D OCT imaging technology; allowing them to view the internal structures of you eye, like never before. We routinely use high-resolution retinal photography to monitor the slightest changes in your retinas; proving an invaluable preventive tool. We utilise the latest corneal topography imaging for supplying Orthokeratology contact lenses like Eye Dream and our clinical assistants also have access to state-of-the-art perimetry tools for assessing your field-of-vision.
