👣REFLEXOLOGY👣the practice of applying pressure to points on the feet and hands, has roots in ancient cultures like Egypt and China. Its modern form began in the early 1900s with American doctor William H. Fitzgerald, who developed “zone therapy.”
The practice was later refined by Eunice Ingham, who mapped the body onto the feet and helped popularise it worldwide.
Reflexology reached the United Kingdom in the mid-20th century, where Doreen Bayly helped establish it as a recognised complementary therapy.
👣NEUROFLEXOLOGY👣is a modern development of reflexology, combining traditional techniques with an understanding of the nervous system, neuroflexology takes the practice a step further.
It focuses on how pressure applied to reflex points—especially on the feet—can influence the brain and nervous system, helping to support relaxation, balance, and overall wellbeing.
By linking touch with neurological responses, neuroflexology aims to work not just on the body, but on how the body communicates and restores itself.
Helen’s Holistics is offering a 60 minute Reflexology treatment, plus a consultation you don’t pay to chat to me for £45, or combined with Neuroflexology £50.
