Our limosuines have been flying out this year! Year on year we are stronger with our support to the local community with proms.

So pleased to add the monies raised for YoungMinds. Next week is our last out and the team cannot wait to help support young people enjoying their proms even more.

🇬🇧 Armed Forces Day 2025

Today, we pause to honour the dedication, bravery, and sacrifice of our Armed Forces. Their service keeps us safe and proud, and we are eternally grateful.

We are especially proud to have Dave Rogers, our funeral director, who not only serves families with compassion and care—but has also served our country with honour and distinction. His dual commitment to both community and country exemplifies the very best of British spirit.

💂‍♂️ To all those who wear the uniform with pride and purpose: we salute you. Your sacrifice does not go unnoticed, and your contribution will never be forgotten. Today—and every day—we stand in gratitude.

With the family’s permission, we are honoured to share a moment from yesterday evening.

At Wootten’s, we believe every funeral should be as unique as the life it celebrates. With care and dedication, we’re proud to offer truly personal farewells.

Yesterday, our Funeral Director David had the privilege of leading a heartfelt, tractor-themed procession to the doors of West Wiltshire Crematorium—a moving tribute to a remarkable life.

A Unique Goodbye with E Wootten and Son
No two lives are the same - so why should their farewell be? At E Wootten and Son, we help families create unique, heartfelt goodbyes that reflect the true spirit of their loved one. From music and readings to personal touches, we’re here to help you honour their story.
A dignified funeral service took place near the iconic Angel of the North, offering a serene and symbolic backdrop for a heartfelt farewell. The ceremony was thoughtfully arranged with the support of a local funeral director, ensuring every detail reflected the wishes of the family. Notably, the Funeral Director and Funeral Service Operatives made the journey from Calne, Wiltshire, to be present, underscoring the deep personal connection and commitment to honouring the deceased. Their presence added a meaningful touch to the proceedings, bridging the distance with compassion and professionalism. The Angel of the North stood watch in silent tribute, lending a sense of peace and reflection to the occasion.

Welcome!

Dave Rogers has joined our team as our new funeral director for Calne. We are excited to bring an experienced industry professional into our team and the community.

A little about Dave : -

'My name is David Rogers I am originally from Wigan but relocated to Wiltshire due to serving in the British Army. I started working within the Funeral Service Profession over 8 years ago. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter and fishing for carp.'

A personal quote from myself would be ‘we are one family serving another family in their time of need.’

I am sure you will see Dave out and about in the community!
