BSL Education Welcome to our alternative provision in Calne, Wiltshire! We offer a unique and individualized approach to education for children aged 4-13 years.

We provide a supportive and nurturing environment where they can thrive and reach their full potential. Blue Sky Learning was founded as an alternative educational pathway for students who find mainstream education challenging due to their social, emotional and mental health needs. We believe in giving our students a bespoke, kinaesthetic approach to enable them to access learning at their own pace and achieve success.

𝑷𝒐𝒏𝒅 π‘«π’Šπ’‘π’‘π’Šπ’π’ˆ 𝒂𝒏𝒅 π‘¨π’–π’•π’–π’Žπ’ π‘ͺ𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔

This week at Forest School, we took a trip to the lake at Penn Hill Nature Reserve.
We walked around the water and talked about how much the area has changed since summer.
The children spotted herons and lots of mallard ducks, but no pike this time.

Using jars and string, we did some pond dipping and looked closely at the bugs and algae in the lake. Everyone enjoyed exploring and discovering what lives in the water.

We also talked about autumn and all the beautiful colours we could see around us.

Blackland Lakes is hosting a Halloween Trail!
A great event for children to explore and enjoy.

Our Autumn Trail is open from 9am - 4pm every day from now until the end of November, and costs just Β£5 per child.

Solve the clues to help us break the witch’s spell on your way round our 1km nature trail. You are welcome to stay and play in our park and feed the resident pigmy goats too. Halloween costumes are optional, but we do recommend that you wear your wellies.

Drinks and snacks are available to purchase every day. Pizza will be available from 12-2pm throughout Half Term.

Parking is available at the health club - it is just a short walk over the bridge to the campsite shop to pick up your trail sheet. Please note that the campsite shop shuts at 2pm on a Sunday, so if you arrive after that time, please go the the health club and they will be happy to help you.

The children explored how punctuation changes a sentence’s meaning.
They asked questions, made exciting statements, and practised finishing sentences correctly.
