Yesterday, we visited a Wiltshire museum — a place we always love! There is so much history to explore.

This time, we focused on the Saxons and Vikings. Our learners enjoyed discovering how people lived, worked, and fought many years ago. 🛡️⚔️

🔹 Wiltshire was once part of the Kingdom of Wessex
🔹 Wessex was ruled by King Alfred the Great, who defended the land from Viking attacks

The nomination also reflects our openness to ideas and innovation, including supporting our apprentices Thrive project, and creating an environment where learning, confidence, and initiative are actively encouraged.

𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 🌲

Our Forest School session was full of exploration and excitement. The journey began with a walk through the meadow, where the muddy ground added plenty of fun and laughter for the children.

Once in the woodland, curiosity took over as the group explored using a metal detector, taking turns to search the ground and discovering who might have metal hidden in their pockets. It was a great opportunity for teamwork, turn-taking and shared enjoyment.

A real highlight was spotting a water vole den, sparking discussions about wildlife and the natural environment.

Every Forest School session offers something new, and today was no exception — hands-on learning, adventure and lots of smiles throughout

𝑰𝒏 𝑷𝑯𝑺𝑬, 𝒘𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒄𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒏 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒔 💛

We explored four wellbeing stations — Rest, Fuel, Feelings and Movement — taking turns to visit each one. The activity was brought to life through imagination, with the stations becoming “bus stops” on a journey of self-care 🚌✨

At each stop, we talked about:
🍎 Fuel – the foods our bodies need
🏃 Movement – fun ways to stay active
😴 Rest – how to relax and reset
😊 Feelings – recognising emotions to help us understand our needs

A lovely session full of learning, creativity, and reflection.

A couple of weeks ago, we launched a Parent Question Box to better understand the concerns families have about Alternative Provision.

Since then, we’ve received many emails and inbox messages from parents. Thank you to everyone who reached out — we have now caught up with our emails and truly appreciate your patience and openness.

Through our upcoming social media posts, we hope to help parents navigate the process of accessing support for their child, gain clarity around available options, and better understand what we do as an Alternative Provision provider. Our aim is to make information clearer, more accessible, and supportive for families at every stage.

💬 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 & 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐨𝐱 – 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝

We’re starting a new series for parents and carers, answering common questions in plain language — and today we’re starting with the basics:

What is an EHCP? (England/UK)

An EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) is a legal document for children and young people (up to 25) with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

It explains:
✅ your child’s needs
✅ the support they must receive
✅ outcomes (goals)
✅ and the education setting/placement that should meet those needs

Who might need one?
Many children receive help through SEN Support, but an EHCP may be needed when a child requires more support than a mainstream school, nursery or college can usually provide.

📌 If you feel your child needs extra help, you can request an EHC Needs Assessment from your local authority.
✨ You don’t need a medical diagnosis to apply — decisions should be based on your child’s needs.
