Success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally, it’s from what you do consistently.

Gaining a healthy lifestyle can be overwhelming at times, trust me I know.

It’s hard to know what to eat to fuel your body right. It’s so much easier to quit than to push though. I’ve been there! I was on and off the bandwagon every few days.

So lets STOP overthinking it and take that first step. I believe in you, you’ve got this.

Let’s avoid feeling overwhelmed, and let’s take it one day at a time, one meal at a time, one step at a time.

Consistency each day is what adds up to success.

I’d planned a restful week off… turns out it had other plans. 🤍

Country concerts, shopping, good food, Dreamboys (and somehow ending up on stage way out of my comfort zone), beach views, beach runs, and a little bit of downtime in between.

Wouldn’t change a second of it… but now I’m ready to get back on plan and start hitting those goals. ✨💪

Hello March ✨🌷

The month spring arrives and we get 31 fresh chances to make memories and smash goals.

I’m kicking it off seeing Jordan Davis with my long-distance bestie 🫶 and I can’t think of a better start.

Still locked in on my nutrition and training, especially running. It’s been feeling hard on my chest lately, but I’m pushing through and already feeling the benefits. Growth isn’t always comfortable 🌱

How has this last month been for you? Have you achieved what you hoped?
For me it's been a success, I've slowly come out of hibernation, and I've continued to tick boxes everyday, I'm going to continue this mindset into March.

There is absolutely no need to panic! There are so many reasons why this could have happened.

I can promise you, you did NOT gain 5 pounds of fat overnight.

Possible reasons for the fluctuation: ⤵️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Stress
Bloating
Salt intake
Water intake
Lack of exercise
Strenuous exercise
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here are 3 TIPS to help you stay on track:

💜Move!
Get a workout in or move your body.
⠀⠀
💜De-stress!
As I mentioned, stress can cause you to gain weight (hello cortisol). Once you take some time to de-stress or the situation lessens, your weight will come back down.
⠀⠀
💜Drink WATER!
When dehydrated, your body holds onto water. Seems backwards, but you actually need to drink more water, regularly, to prevent the water retention.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Progress is not meant to be a perfect or flawless. The scale WILL go up and down on a day to day basis and that is completely normal, this is why I tell my clients not to weigh themselves daily as the scale/number on it does not define you.

Who stretches before or after a workout?

Stretching before our workouts will help to warm our muscles up, reduce the risk of injury, help improve flexibility, and help to increase our range of motion.

Stretching after our workouts helps cool the muscles down, return them to ‘normal’ length, helps to reduce the risk of injury and helps us improve our flexibility and range of motion.

Basically, stretching before and after our workouts effectively do the same thing, it helps us take care of our bodies and get stronger with every stretch.

Even doing a few stretches on our rest day will help us with recovery.
