Be kind to yourself over this Christmas period.

There is no right or wrong, some people stick to their workouts, some have complete rest, some people keep hitting their nutrition targets, some allow themselves to over indulge, and some just find that happy balance. Whatever path you choose enjoy it and know it's the right path for you.

For me, I'll be taking each day as it comes, if that means some days I hit my nutrition and other days I over indulge then that's how it's going to be.

Remember this time of year only comes once, life is for enjoying, so enjoy it!

Today was my first run outside in over a month 🌬️

Did I hit the pacing set me? No.
Did I complete it? YES.

I’m still recovering from bronchitis, so I’m taking it steady. Right now the goal is simply to get to the end of the workout session without breaking myself — pace targets can wait.

For me this month hit and miss, I've been as consistance as I can be, whilst enjoying my social plans, and making incredible memories, but then I got taken out by Bronchitis, so the last few weeks have been giving my body plenty of rest and the foods it wants, but now I'm ready to start ticking as many boxes as I can again.

It feels so good to be back in the gym and moving my body again!

The past two weeks have been rough. What started as a sore throat turned into bronchitis, which meant complete rest, 100%. Even talking left me breathless and coughing, so the gym, running, and even yoga were totally off-limits. But I’m finally starting to feel like myself again, even if the occasional cough is still hanging around.

I’m easing back in: I’ve done a few gentle yoga classes to get my body moving this week, and now I’m back in the gym (along with those brutally early alarms). In another week or so, I’ll start reintroducing my running. It’s not like me to take total rest, but my body needed it, and now it’s telling me it’s ready to get going again.

Just a reminder that it’s okay to give our bodies what they need, whether that’s rest, movement, nutritious foods, not-so-nutritious foods, or in my case, chocolate biscuits 🍪. Life isn’t perfect, and neither is any fitness journey. It’s all about balance!
