Perspective Among the Trees🌳

I read this quote and it stayed with me.
“You can seem like a millionaire to one person and a homeless person to the next... Life is all just a big game of perspective.”

Out here in the woods, it really hits home.
The ants scatter when I walk. The trees don’t flinch. The wind doesn’t ask who I am. Everything just is.
And somehow, that makes everything make sense.

Well… most ants scatter.
The big wood ants just look at me like I’m lunch and charge straight up my boots like it’s a battle.
Fearless little monsters. Perspective indeed.

We spend so much time measuring ourselves by others, their pace, their path, their idea of “enough.” But in the woods, there’s no such thing as falling behind.
The bramble grows how it must. The oak takes its time. Even the moss knows where it belongs.

So today, I’m reminding myself.
Comparison steals joy.
But perspective?
Perspective roots us. Gently. Deeply.
Exactly where we need to be. 🌲
