Jolly Melodies Camberley Half termly themes add variety and stimulate tiny minds!

Music with Mummy (1-3yrs) - A fun and gentle introduction to music aiming to introduce basic musical concepts whilst having a huge amount of fun. Jolly Babies from birth to a year or 'on the move' (whichever comes first!) - The classes encourage early social skills, bonding between baby and parent and early speech development. Both Health Visitors and Speech Therapists have been very impressed with the effects of these classes and many parents form strong friendships with other families through the medium of their weekly Jolly Babies session. Three Four Time (3-4yrs) - Music classes for 3 & 4 year olds where they can 'shine' on their own. With each half termly theme taking them on a musical journey, using role play, stories and special props to enhance that theme and give them greater insight into further musical concepts.

Just popping on here to say hello 👋 from windy (& sunny 😎) Dorset and to say thank you all so much for coming along this last half term 💜 a half term full of adjustments for lots of families as older siblings start big school and little ones pre school! Such a busy time 😅 a HUGE thank you also to all the new families who have also joined in the Jolly Melodies fun 🥰 22yrs of running my classes this September & I still LOVE meeting and teaching our lovely songs to even our tiniest members 💜 have a good couple of weeks everyone and I cannot wait to be back singing at our Pumpkin parties on Saturday 1st November 🎃

Ending another fabulous week of singing and music with your little people with this beautiful video of big cousin L showing her little cousin K the BIG drum in my Jolly Babies class yesterday 🥰 She did it completely unprompted making a special memory that mummy was lucky to capture - thank you Emily for sending this to me 💜 ❤️

It has been SUCH a great start to our new Autumn half term 😄

Two very simple activities that you can easily do at home have gone down so well with both parent and little one in my classes, which has been so lovely to see 🥰

Even the tiniest 'Jolly Babies' benefit from the BIG drum, just little little N in the picture (along with Mummy and Nanna!)

Drumming at such a young age can help a baby's ....

🌟Cause and effect understanding
🌟Problem-solving
🌟Attention span: Drumming can hold a baby’s focus and help them practice sustained attention.

🌟Gross motor skills
🌟Hand-eye coordination

🌟Also simple drumming starts to build a basic sense of rhythm, which can help with coordination and eventually language - amongst many other social and emotional benefits too!

Whilst with my 'Jolly Toddlers' a simple game of 'catch' is also packed with LOTS of early years developmental benefits too 💜

🌟One-to-one interaction during a simple game builds trust and emotional closeness.
🌟 Building Confidence: Encouragement during the game reinforces self-esteem.
🌟Turn-Taking & Patience: Toddlers learn basic social rules like waiting their turn and cooperating with another person.
🌟 Vocabulary Growth: Parents often use phrases like “throw,” “catch,” “your turn,” and “ready?”—reinforcing new words and concepts.
🌟Sensory Stimulation: Touching the scarf and watching it fly through the air all stimulate sensory development.

Ultimately, engaging with your little one and letting them express themselves with music, is giving them THE best start in life! I can't wait to see what next week brings 💜

🎃PUMPKIN PARTIES 🎃

I am pleased to announce that my seasonal 'Special Saturday Parties' are back!! A great excuse to get the little ones dressed up and have some seasonal fun. In support of Frimley Park Hospital Neonatal Unit, each session will be followed by a chance to enjoy some yummy cakes & refreshments PLUS there will be a 'NAME THE TEDDY' game - for this part all the proceeds will go to Frimley Park Neo Natal Unit. Thank you to the Needham family for very kindly donating the teddies for this game Simon Needham 💜

🎃VENUE - Frimley Lodge Park Scout Centre, GU16 6HY
🎃COST - £8 per child plus £5 for any additional accompanying adults or child (will include a gift for each child) Please just book one space on the system link above and message me with any extras and I will amend the fees.
** Please note that payment is required within 24hrs of booking or your place will be cancelled. Places are non refundable as I have to plan for food and gifts **

Spaces are limited to 15 children in each session plus their special adult/s. Please allow extra time for cake, refreshments & the raffle after the session.

Just 3 steps to become an all singing, dancing and confident little person 🤩

👶 Start your little one’s musical journey with our small, fun & gentle ‘Jolly Babies’ sessions

🧒 Then they get to explore basic music concepts, exciting themes and LOTS more instruments & props with ‘Jolly Toddlers’

🕺 Then, when your little one is 3yrs, they get to shine on their own in our ‘Jolly Independent’ class 🤩

I have been sooo lucky to have seen many children start when they have just been a few weeks (or days in some cases!) old and stay with me right up to school age. The bonds that have been created between parent & child (and myself) are priceless and do set the children in good stead for BIG school.
