What a fantastic day we had at Lightwater Fair! ☀️🎪

It was wonderful to be out in the community meeting so many lovely people, and even more special to have some of the residents join us to help run the stall throughout the day.

We’re also delighted to share that we raised even more money for Sebastian's Action Trust through our raffle and fundraising efforts. The Winner will be announced next week!

We are incredibly proud to share that we recently held an afternoon tea and bake sale for Dementia UK and thanks to the amazing support from residents, loved ones, team members and local community, we raised a fantastic £380 for the charity 💙

One in two of us will be affected by dementia in our lifetime. Families living with the condition are often left feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and alone. With this kind of support, Dementia UK can provide vital specialist dementia nursing services, so more families can access our life changing support and live as well as possible, for as long as possible

We’re incredibly proud to share that two of our very brave team members are doing a skydive for a very worthy cause! ✈️

On the 18th of June, Lakeview’s General Manager, Iftekhar, and Alexandra Grange’s Lifestyles Lead, Bo, will be skydiving to raise funds for an amazing charity - Sebastian's Action Trust.

This wonderful charity supports children living with life limiting and life threatening illnesses, helping to provide vital equipment, therapies, and memorable experiences for both the children and their families. Their work makes a truly meaningful difference during some of the most challenging times.

Residents recently enjoyed a wonderful day out at Virginia Water Lake ☀️

The sunshine made it the perfect setting for a gentle stroll around the lake, taking in the beautiful scenery and fresh air. We stopped for a lovely picnic along the way, followed by a well deserved coffee in the café ☕

What a fantastic evening we had celebrating International Day of Dance here at Lakeview Care Home recently 💃

Residents, team members and visitors all came together for a truly special celebration filled with music. We were delighted to welcome a talented local belly dancer who entertained everyone with a beautiful and captivating performance.

To make the evening even more special, our amazing Chef prepared a delicious selection of traditional North African inspired dishes, a lovely nod to the region where belly dancing originated.

A wonderful evening of culture, connection and celebration – thank you to everyone who joined us! 💛

Team Lakeview & Alexandra Grange had a brilliant day yesterday taking part in a charity golf tournament at East Berkshire Golf Club, hosted by Easthampstead Rotary Club Wokingham Link Visiting Scheme ⛳️

It was a brilliant opportunity to come together, enjoy some friendly competition and most importantly raise funds for such an incredible local charity supporting those experiencing loneliness in our community.

And… would you believe it… Team Hallmark came runners up! 🥈👏

A huge well done to everyone involved. A fantastic achievement for a fantastic cause!

It’s been a wonderfully busy week or so here at Lakeview Care Home🌼

Residents have been making the most of the sunshine with gardening club, getting their hands stuck into some lovely outdoor activities. We even managed to pop to the local garden centre to do a spot of shopping.

We also enjoyed the excitement of the London Marathon, cheering on all the incredible runners🏃‍♂️ What superheroes!

The celebrations didn’t stop there, we marked St George’s Day with a fantastic party, and rounded off the week in style with a beautiful high tea in our Orangery, accompanied by a stunning performance from local musicians🎻
