Healthy eating
A nutritious, balanced and varied diet contributes significantly to good health. A balanced, good diet is especially important if you’re planning a pregnancy as your baby relies on you to provide the right balance of nutrients to help them grow and develop properly (even after they’re born). The more active you are during your pregnancy the easier you will find it to adjust to the naturally occurring changes in pregnancy including a change in shape and weight gain. It will also help you to cope with labour and get back into shape after your baby is born. If exercising with an instructor let them know are pregnant. If you are new to exercising start slowly and build up gradually.
A gradual return to exercise after birth is recommended but it should not involve high-impact exercises or sit-ups too quickly, to allow your stomach and pelvic floor muscles to recover.
You can find more information on our website https://www.frimleyhealthandcare.org.uk/maternity/your-pregnancy/exercise-in-pregnancy/?fbclid=IwY2xjawIW8CRleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHc8dvaiLPtLbdgHX4XFDt2_qlmnBrRKDw7wV06OYWdy_YAKQlyyTDRqEHA_aem_d2nr-zH2j4DrGm_E_EqR6g

📣Paracetamol and pregnancy📣

THE FACTS
💜There is no evidence that taking paracetamol during pregnancy causes autism in children.
💙A major study conducted in Sweden in 2024, involving 2.4 million children found no evidence that paracetamol causes autism in pregnancy.
💚Untreated pain and fever can pose real risks to the unborn baby, so it is crucial to manage these symptoms with the recommended treatment. Paracetamol continues to be the recommended pain relief option for pregnant women when used as directed.
🧡Patients should not swap to alternatives such as ibuprofen, as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are generally not recommended during pregnancy
