A busy day for us on Wednesday!
We had our first first harvest of from our own patch at Chobham Adventure Farm !
This year has been a bit of an experiment for all of us, but we're thrilled to be starting to see the fruits of our labour 🍅
In the afternoon we worked hard making sure the aubergine beds were free from weeds at Farnham Community Farm 🚜

Our Tuesday at Empowering Me started with the life skills kitchen, our team members chose to make a light, summery lunch of grilled halloumi and crunchy salad wraps, followed by yet another lovely afternoon helping at Hale End Court Day Centre. We hosted a great game of Play Your Cards Right, and then introduced them to a new game that we're going to be playing with them very soon 🎯
Everyone joined in and had a fantastic time!
Afterwards we helped out in the Forget Me Not Café, and then worked on our social communication by sitting and having a chat with the residents.

We had a very productive meeting with the Manager at Jealott's Hill Community Landshare yesterday. We've been lucky enough to have been given a new and exciting project, that is exclusively for Empowering Me.
The first job was to clear a large bed in preparation to get things started.
This will be leading to some big opportunities for our team members!
Keep checking back for updates on our progress!
After a great and eventful morning, we ended our day with a lovely dog walk 🐕🐕‍🦺🐶

Hard at work yesterday!
Firstly tending to our own little patch that we have at Chobham Adventure Farm .
The veggies we have planted so far, are coming on very well!
The sheep were supervising this week, they seemed very impressed with the progress 🐑🥦🌽🍅🧅
All the animals are going to be in for some nice treats when the time comes to harvesting them!
Our afternoon was spent at Farnham Community Farm, doing the much needed job of weeding around the onions!

Yesterday, we were lucky enough to have some very special guests, join us for lunch!
They travelled on the bus, and unfortunately, arrived a little wet due to the rain, but that didn't stop all of us having a great lunch together!
Our team members worked really hard, and did amazingly!
Thank you to our lovely friends at Frimhurst Enterprises, for joining us for lunch, we all really enjoyed ourselves!
After we'd tidied everything up, we had a game of Trivial Pursuit, to end our fantastic day!
