π€― Can you relate to this?
πΉ The mental load is something that usually falls, by default, onto the shoulders of women and is not something to be taken lightly.
π Itβs no wonder women experience burn out when all the invisible jobs that have to be done automatically fall to us. This isnβt intended to be a man-bashing exercise, but the mental load that comes with running a household and having children does generally tend to lie with women.
π΄ And itβs exhausting.

βDo you know how to tell the difference between heat exhaustion and heatstroke? π₯΅
π In this weather itβs important to look out for signs of heat exhaustion in children.
π₯΅ Although heat exhaustion is not a medical emergency, the child will need to be cooled down to prevent it turning into Heatstroke ( which IS a medical emergency!)
π Follow the steps above to cool them down.
βΌοΈ If they have not recovered within 30 minutes or they begin to feel worse or become unconscious then it could be developing into heatstroke.
π If you suspect heatstroke please call 999 for an ambulance as soon as possible!
π¦ Cool the child down as quickly as you can using a cold shower, bags of ice on the neck, armpits and groin areas or immerse their whole body in cold water if you can.
βΌοΈIf the child becomes unconscious put them into the recovery position and monitor their breathing while you wait for help to arrive.
