TheraTeds - SMW CIC Hi, I'm Great Pooh and I'm one of the 'TheraTeds The teddy bears (owned by Victoria Edwards) are displayed in the museum.

It has been registered as a Community Interest Company with three directors (Victoria, Charlotte Webb and Hazel Wainwright) and is looking for funds to help it's running. The museum can be found In the heart of the mining, historical Cornish landscape, in the old Blacksmith workshop of 'King Edward Mine museum' amid the yellow gorse, and acknowledges it's surroundings and history. Information boards (made by Scribble and Nonsense) are in Cornish, as well as English (written by HD Words and translated by Clive Baker). The museum scenes are built using recycled products, where possible and celebrates local talents. An adjoining shop sells local crafts and promotional products amongst other ethical suitable products, A safe space will also be made within the museum, for hour long 1-1 sessions where the therapies of art, music and teddy bears can be explored,.

£5 museum entrance fee and £10 for sessions, but they will be flexible to include those on smaller incomes, making the experiences affordable and accessible to all. Hopefully, one day, we can offer free admission and sessions to the more vulnerable people

A few of us Therateds were delighted to go out yesterday! We had been invited to the very lovely 'Pop-up Toy Museum' at Trewergie Infants school for the 2nd year. It was lovely to meet the very well behaved and interested children and the teds got lots of cuddles! Many thanks Trewergie staff for making the teds and Victoria very welcome. Next week, they're off to Troon School Cornwall....

If you can knit or crochet please make one of these. Everyone needs a teddy, especially children in Ukraine. Some have probably lost all their toys or had to leave them behind. Teddies buried in rubble or blown up is too horrible to imagine but at least we can help fill a hole in some lives. I'm sure if you wanted to see a teddy they would be just as happy to receive them. Thank you 💕 🐻🐻‍❄️⭐
