Yogahannah

Yogahannah I run Iyengar Yoga Classes in Praze and Troon. General level, Intermediate level and Chair classes available. Currently I run 2 general level classes.

I also run workshops through the year and offer a Cornish Summer Retreat. Tuesday 7-8.30pm and Friday 9.30-11am at Praze Institute, Praze-an-Beeble. These classes are suitable for most students including beginners. Also I run an Intermediate Class, Tuesday 10-11.30am also at Praze Institute. Students that attend this class have usually practised for 2 years or more. It is a small class so tends to

have more of a (very short) workshop feel. It is ideal for those who feel they could be stretched (no pun intended) a little more than in the general classes. Also offer 10 week Pregnancy yoga courses with Kirsty Reps at The Chimes Studio, Sithney.

On Hanuman Jayanti, we honour the spirit of devotion, strength, and humility that Hanuman embodies.

In Iyengar Yoga, Hanuman is remembered through Hanumanasana. B.K.S. Iyengar often spoke of practice as a path of devotion, where discipline, patience, and surrender come together. In this way, Hanuman becomes more than a mythological figure; he represents the qualities we cultivate each time we step onto the mat.

Whether your practice today is strong or subtle, dynamic or quiet, may it be infused with humility and devotion.

Happy Hanuman Jayanti from Iyengar Yoga (UK).

🌸Spring Blooming Sequence 🌸
As the seasons shift, our practice can shift with them. This beautiful Spring Blooming Sequence from awakens the body building warmth, mobility and openness as we move from grounding standing poses into deeper backbends.

We love how this sequence has been brought to life through illustration from making the flow of the practice easy to follow and inspiring to explore on the mat.

Save this sequence to explore in your own practice and we advise finding an iyengar yoga certified teacher if you are unfamiliar with the poses or sequences.

International Women’s Day

Today we celebrate the women who have shaped, guided and sustained the living tradition of Iyengar Yoga.

We remember with deep gratitude Geeta Iyengar, whose dedication and profound understanding of the practice transformed the way yoga is taught and experienced around the world. Her work continues to inspire generations of teachers and students.

We also honour Abhijata Iyengar, who carries the teachings forward with insight, strength and compassion, sharing the depth of the method with students across the global Iyengar Yoga community.

On this International Women’s Day, we celebrate the strength, intelligence and resilience of women in yoga. Teachers, students, organisers and practitioners who nurture and sustain our community every day.

With gratitude from the Iyengar Yoga UK community.
