COVID TESTING LAW CHANGE

The government started rolling out rapid antigen testing on Monday. Previously, they have not been complimentary about rapid testing, and they were not seen as reliable diagnostic tools 🙄

Therefore, the results were not mandatory to report to PHE and could be used by private testers. This has changed. ANY antigen (or PCR) testing results must now be reported. Sadly, this essentially means that there is no longer any such thing as a private result.

Due to the legal requirement to report results to PHE, ALL sample takers must abide by UKAS rules. This is an expensive process and must involve a GMC registered professional to oversee. It is now a CRIMINAL OFFENCE to offer COVID testing without a UKAS registration.

As far as I am aware, this only affects antigen and PCR testing, and does not affect antibody finger prick testing. So I believe that antibody testing can continue...

This is my own personal test ( perks of the job) ...

Thankfully I have a negative test ..

No IgM and No IgG so that means no current infection and it's unlikely that I've ever had it as no antibodies detected either ( that is unless I have a crap Immune system ) .

I've been a bit quite on here this past week but by no means have I not been busy .

Behind the scenes is full of paperwork , phone calls, and preparation, ordering of stock and also getting set up properly with the help of our marketing company Cr8tive Marketing .

Between me and Hubby we are keeping him very busy and this is a big shout out to him as whatever we throw at him he comes back with quick results an produces everything we need spot on .

People ask me all the time how I keep myself, my family and others around me safe during this pandemic .

So I thought I'd share the answer here ....

So for my day to day job I am a field project tester . Which basically means the statistics you get from the office off national statistics is what us field project workers gather by doing PCR and Antibody tests on participants that have oppted in to take part in the survey ( these individuals are NON systematic ) . They havnt got Covid 19.

Then there is the Rapid tests I carry out which test for antigens and antibodys. These are that quick and readily available to me that i can test myself regularly to ensure I am safe and the people around me are safe .

I also wear PPE , I have strict infection control measures in place .

You are safer with me than with joe blogs in the supermarket xx
