Employee Appreciation Week 🫶

Gem of day one is Richard our Head Chef who goes over and above to ensure we are all well fed and our visitors are looked after, he is also a hero in our community where he helps us support the local food hub and community day .Thank you for being brilliant Richard!👏👏👏

We had a lovely afternoon visiting the Cambridge United foundation memory cafe. We enjoyed good company, tea /coffee and biscuits, also the session includes seated strengthening and supported standing balance exercises with alternatives for people with reduced mobility.
This is a great facility for all of Cambridges older adults to get together.

The Kat, one half of KJ and the Kat visited us yesterday to entertain our residents. He is always a bundle of fun and very talented too.
What a lovely afternoon we had, he managed to get everyone singing along and there were lots of lovely smiles filling the home.
As you can see from the photos the ladies ebjoy him seranading them 😍

We all enjoy taking part in our cooking/baking activities but most importantly enjoy the pleasure of eating our creations this time we made Yogurt Mud Mousse ( not real mud) 😁Yummy

What a lovely weekend we had here at Heathlands House. The Sun was shining, everybody outside enjoying themselves,some tending to the garden. Lots of visitors, and birthdays too this week.

Pub lunch on a sunny day is just what the Doctor ordered. Getting out and about on our Heathlands House Mini Bus is a lovely treat and what better thing to do than join our friends at the pub.Cheers👍

Bingo times, now we know its not everyones cup of tea 😁but it can be such good fun, and even those who arent used to it friends are always together to support each other here at Heathlands.

Balloon Tennis was on the agenda this week, our ladies were getting ready for the annual Wimbledon centre court game in July in our beautiful garden. Excersise and friendly competition is very much what our residents enjoy.

"OMG" what a treat today here at Heathlands House, we had a visit from performing pets who came along to visit with their Easter Lambs.
They were just a cuteness overload and really seemed to enjoy the endless cuddles provided by our lovely residents and families.

Today we decided to make some sponge dolls, this was lovely as it is Easter school holidays and we had grandchildren visiting. It is always a pleasure to see our family members especialy children and when we get the oppurtunity to interact in together it brings joy to everyone.

Every visit we have with Bob from Creative Arts is so much fun. This activity offers significant mental, emotional, and physical health benefits by combining tactile sensory experience with creative expression. It is used to reduce stress, improve focus, and provide a non-verbal outlet for emotions.
There is always lots of concentration in the room but also lots of chatter and giggles which makes for a perfect way to spend the morning here at Heathlands House.
