Insulin pens
* Always dispose of the needle immediately after each injection using a sharps bin.
* Never store your pen with the needle attached. Keep your sharps bin in a safe place so it’s not a risk to other people and is out of the sight and reach of children.
* Sharps bins must not be disposed of in household waste.
* Discuss with your healthcare professional the procedure for disposing of sharps bins in your area.

Some of you will be aware of the recent fire at `Well Pharmacy`, which will mean that patients will be unable to collect their medications.

As you will appreciate this will cause additional work for the GP surgery and we have a plan in place to try and address any issues. Please note that if your prescription has been allocated to `Well Pharmacy` we are unable to re-direct this.

𝟏) patients ̲𝚛̲̲𝚎̲̲𝚚̲̲𝚞̲̲𝚎̲̲𝚜̲̲𝚝̲̲𝚒̲̲𝚗̲̲𝚐̲ ̲𝚊̲ ̲𝚛̲̲𝚎̲̲𝚙̲̲𝚎̲̲𝚊̲̲𝚝̲ ̲𝚖̲̲𝚎̲̲𝚍̲̲𝚒̲̲𝚌̲̲𝚊̲̲𝚝̲̲𝚒̲̲𝚘̲̲𝚗̲ can do so in the usual manner, we will remove the `well` pharmacy from the script which means you can access your medication from any pharmacy or we can direct your prescription to an alternative pharmacy - please let us know which.

𝟐) those that have ̲𝚛̲̲𝚎̲̲𝚚̲̲𝚞̲̲𝚎̲̲𝚜̲̲𝚝̲̲𝚎̲̲𝚍̲ ̲𝚊̲̲𝚌̲̲𝚞̲̲𝚝̲̲𝚎̲ ̲𝚙̲̲𝚛̲̲𝚎̲̲𝚜̲̲𝚌̲̲𝚛̲̲𝚒̲̲𝚙̲̲𝚝̲̲𝚒̲̲𝚘̲̲𝚗̲̲𝚜̲ that have not been processed will have `well` pharmacy removed from the script which means you can access your medication from any pharmacy or we can direct your prescription to an alternative pharmacy - please let us know which.

𝟑) patients that were ̲𝚊̲̲𝚠̲̲𝚊̲̲𝚒̲̲𝚝̲̲𝚒̲̲𝚗̲̲𝚐̲ ̲𝚝̲̲𝚘̲ ̲𝚌̲̲𝚘̲̲𝚕̲̲𝚕̲̲𝚎̲̲𝚌̲̲𝚝̲ ̲𝚢̲̲𝚘̲̲𝚞̲̲𝚛̲ ̲𝚙̲̲𝚛̲̲𝚎̲̲𝚜̲̲𝚌̲̲𝚛̲̲𝚒̲̲𝚙̲̲𝚝̲̲𝚒̲̲𝚘̲̲𝚗̲ will likely need to have another prescription produced. Please contact reception via phone, email or online, to request a re-issue of your medication and indicate which pharmacy you wish this to go to. If no pharmacy is nominated we will remove `Well Pharmacy` from your script so you can collect from any pharmacy.

Please remember, the team here will now be under increased pressure and will be working hard to ensure medications can be prescribed safely.

We have received the results for the Friends and Family Test which was sent our yesterday.
133 responses were received.

𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐲: We are unable to forward date fit note requests. The GP can only commence a fit note from the date the previous one ended, we cannot forward date these. We can however back date fit notes. You can be waiting up to 7 days to receive a fit note from the GP following your request.

Our forecast.
An area of snow will move through NW England, into the Midlands this evening. This heavy at times & likely producing disruption into Monday. 1-4cm widely, as much as 10cm on hills. Likely not making it into the South East except a few flurries.
Further heavy snow showers tonight across Northern Scotland, a further 20cm likely inland. As much as 40cm may have accumulated by Tuesday in the Highlands.
Heavy snow showers through Monday for West Wales, and later Cornwall. 1-4cm at lower levels, as much as 10cm on hills.
Also heavy snow showers on the East Coast of England, from Norwich, Lincolnshire, coastal East Yorkshire & coastal North Yorkshire. 5-10cm widely, 10-20cm on hills.

This was likely caused by the power surge which happened on the National Grid early this morning.
