Unfortunately, we have clinical staff off sick today which has left us short on appointments and the phone lines are very busy, we answered over 100 calls in the first 30 minutes. We are trying to help as many people as we can but with limited appointments we can only see those who are most in need of urgent help today. Please accept our apologies if we are unable to see you for an appointment today.

Pleased be advised that Telegraph Street will be closed tomorrow (11th July) due to the flooring being replaced and nobody is able to walk on the area whilst this is being completed. We apologise for any inconvenience, Firs House in Histon will be open as normal and access via the telephone and online will be unaffected. Thank you

We currently have no internet and very limited phone access at the surgery. We are trying to find out more information but due to the amount of time it is taking to get through to the IT helpdesk I believe it is more than a local issue. Please bear with us as it may take longer to answer your call at the moment. Thank you for your understanding

*Information about weight management services and the availability of weight related drug treatments in Cambridgeshire & Peterborough*
“We are not able to prescribe this in General Practice locally. GP Practices can refer eligible patients for assessment, to ‘Healthy You’, the provider that has been commissioned to provide the service. There is a strict criteria that patients will have to meet in order to be eligible ie a BMI over 40 and other health conditions in order to be referred to the Healthy You team who will assess and decide on which will be suitable for each individual”. Thank you

Good morning. This week has been a very busy week. The team have answered 1268 telephone calls since Monday, we have also dealt with 477 online requests, along with the usual workload. This equates to 14% of our whole practice population contacting us via these 2 routes over 4 days. We are trying our best and the team is working really hard to keep up and help as many people as possible but unfortunately, we do not have capacity to provide appointments and assistance to this number of people over a short time. If it takes a little longer to answer your call or query please bear with us. Thank you for your understanding.

Due to various reasons we are very short in our reception team today. Your queries may take slightly longer to be answered, please bare with us.
