It is with a slight lump in my throat that after 25 years of Physiotherapy Clinic work, I finally closed the doors on my clinic location at Cambridge Regional College.
Physiotherapy life goes on and from today I will continue to be working in the community visiting patients at home.

After practicing on Zoom and visiting people at home I have started back at Cambridge Regional College. It feels good to be consulting Face to Face again.😃

A client not on Facebook has asked me to post this review...

'I have always gone to Karen for any physio treatment I’ve needed and found her excellent. When I developed a shoulder problem in the early weeks of the lockdown I initially thought there wasn’t much point in contacting her. Then it occurred to me that she might be able to do a Zoom session – which she did. The combination of posture suggestions and exercises did the trick very quickly and (as usual) I only needed the one appointment. So when my knee swelled up after several unaccustomed sets of tennis last week when the restrictions were eased, I didn’t hesitate to arrange another Zoom session – also very helpful and the knee is recovering well thanks to the advice and exercises which Karen emailed me after the session. Zoom enables the physio to actually see what the problem is as well as having it described. I’d say definitely don’t hesitate to book a Zoom session with Karen for anything for which you would normally go to a physio!'

I have adapted my way of working and am now offering video consultations using a variety of social media and management platforms.

I do consider Physiotherapy to be a hands on profession, but have been surprised at the success of the sessions that have so far taken place during this unusual period.

Physiotherapy has many strands and we are very well placed to offer help and advice with desk set ups for home working, postural advice, and rehabilitation.
