A very exciting Friday at The Cambridgeshire Care Home....its car valeting day today.

Our amazing owners, Rob, Helena and Paul Jeffery are treating staff to a top class car valet to say thank you for their continual dedication and support to our Residents and each other.

Home Manager Angie Ryan commented "It's such a lovely way to say thank you to our amazing Teams of Staff, they all deserve this treat. I'm so proud of them all."

At The Cambridgeshire Care Home our award winning Chefs are always going the extra mile for our Residents.

Their work is not only to create and serve delicious high quality meals but to ensure nutrition and hydration are top priority.

Head Chef Kevin Bridges has created homemade hydration fruit gels. These tasty treats are designed to encourage Residents to keep up their level of hydration which helps them to remain in good health 😀

After an excellent briefing to staff and Residents, our dedicated Hospitality Team and Care Team shared these fruity delights with Residents and the overall feedback was amazing 👏 😀 Residents enjoyed them very much.

No matter the Great British weather when a Resident of The Cambridgeshire Care Home asks to go out and around our beautiful landscape gardens we ensure we're all dressed for the occasion and enjoy our time together ❤️

We all learn and share with our Residents. Their knowledge of gardening and plants is fantastic, we encourage them to impart their wisdom and green tips for a truly meaningful walk around the garden.

Love is in the air at The Cambridgeshire Care Home.

We celebrate every couple by treating them to a Wedding Anniversary Date Lunch. A menu chosen by the happy couple with our Head Chef Kevin Bridges, supported by our Head of Operations Manager Renata Carrod Bridges, for them to enjoy in the light and airy Library on Wimpole Household.

Special thanks to Tom Collen Head of Wellbeing for decorations and the special menu making this a very happy 58th wedding anniversary for one of our very special couples ###

Another amazing visit from The Banjo Man at The Cambridgeshire Care Home this week.

And Congratulations for being inorgorated into The American Music Hall of Fame. Only the second English musician to have been bestowed this honour.

An all time favourite of prize bingo, baking some yummy fairy cakes, knit and knatter, parlour games and a tricky puzzle, tending to Residents own patio and balcony gardens, as well as the weekly shopping trolley, a great service item offering essentials which include all your favourite sweet treats.

Another amazing visit from Performing Pets this week at The Cambridgeshire Care Home where Residents enjoyed meeting parrots, budgies and parakeets.

Beautiful birds who were delighted to be with Residents and chirp happily, telling them all about themselves. They even joined in with a game of bingo.

Residents really look forward to Performing Pets visits, we have so many magical moments ✨️ 💖 💕 it just cements why we all enjoy working in Care and sharing privileged moments with very special people, our Residents ###💖

Congratulations to Jen, one of our Activities and Wellbeing Team who has been nominated for this month's Golden Moments Award at The Cambridgeshire Care Home and will enjoy a £25.00 voucher to spoil herself with.

Jen is a dedicated team member and always willing and able to take on any task in her stride, with grace and composure, she is very talented. A fabulous curator of quizzes and conundrums, she tests everyone's knowledge and logic bringing out a wonderful competitive side to Residents.

Everyone thoroughly enjoys Jens activities. Well done Jen, thank you, keep up the good work 👏 🙌 👍 👌

Something for everyone to enjoy at The Cambridgeshire Care Home this week and everyweek. Our Activities and Wellbeing Team provide a varied person centred programme that changes every week.

Floristry, poetry, sensory games carnival style, Rummikub, puzzling, entertainment from Frank Taylor and Friends Hour with aperitif and birthday celebrations were just some of the activities Residents were able to enjoy. Plus our Strengthening and Conditioning Coach Shaun Gudge who runs two seated exercise classes a week, plus one to one time with willing Residents. Helping our Residents remain independent, strong and confident, preventing falls and encouraging strength and wellness.

At The Cambridgeshire Care Home we cannot celebrate our Residents enough. They are amazing people who have lived a life, have fantastic skills, experience, and stories, and we want to share, listen, and support them all.

That's why when they ask if they can help, we immediately say "yes please," offering meaningful activities and including Residents in everything we do to run an activity, event, fundraising cause, or meeting.

We never forget The Cambridgeshire Care Home is their home and we're here to make them feel comfortable, included and heard.
