What started as a normal PE class turned into a life-threatening emergency for 16-year-old Sam Mangoro.
One moment he was lining up for a basketball drill, next, he collapsed from a sudden cardiac arrest.
Sam only survived because his teachers knew CPR and had access to a defibrillator. Without that, the outcome could have been very different.
This is why CPR training in schools is so important. Every student should know how to respond if a friend or classmate ever needs help.
