Over the years, I've learned the hard way that ignoring my body’s warning signs can have serious consequences. From migraines to IBS to stress-induced panic attacks, I saw the signals but didn’t listen until it was too late and my symptoms became overwhelming.

What warning signs is your body sending you? What are you tolerating about your health that could lead to bigger issues later on?

Recognising early signs and understanding your body’s messages are key to better health and wellbeing. It’s time to treat our mind and body as one integrated system, not just as separate parts!

Sometimes my clients come into sessions feeling off. It could be stress, anxiety, lack of sleep, or just a bad mood. It’s normal!

The foundation of any exercise programme is consistency. Without it, the benefits just won’t show up. That’s why I always adapt the programme to meet my clients where they’re at that day. Often I reduce the intensity by adjusting weights, reps, or making modifications. The goal is to make sure they’re still moving without pushing too hard and feeling worse. By dialing down the intensity, we also help lower activation of the sympathetic nervous system, reducing that "fight or flight" response.

The key takeaway? They’ve shown up for themselves and are still making progress by moving their body. In the end, consistency is what counts ❤️

My client came up with such a great phrase this week… 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗼𝘀!

We had a great chat about how our to-do lists are never ending, and how waiting to do something we enjoy until everything is "done" means we never actually make time for ourselves. Focusing too much on the to-do list only adds pressure on ourselves and leads to constant disappointment.

Accepting the chaos is about relaxing into the flow, knowing that some things won’t get done while we make time for ourself and that’s okay. With a potential house move, a baby on the way, a new business and Christmas just around the corner… I can definitely relate! 🎄🏠👶

I love a one pot, pan or tin recipe. They're so easy and quick to put together. Brilliant on days where I can't really be bothered to cook but still want all the benefits of a home cooked meal.

Last night I tried out the masala corn from one of my favourite books by . It was delicious 😋

We almost always cook for 4 and then have leftovers the next day to save time. Can't wait for round two tonight! ❤️

I'm looking for 6 volunteers to trial my new 6-week group programme at a discounted rate. Each week we'll look at a foundation of health together, explore what you want to achieve and agree one action for you to work on over the following week.

This is for you if:
• Your overall health isn’t where you want it to be
• You're tired and low in energy, with niggling health frustrations
• You want a holistic approach that covers all aspects of health

By joining the programme, you’ll:
• Feel motivated, encouraged and inspired in a small and friendly group, all on the same path to improve their health

It was great to share my long covid recovery story with Lynn Coleman!

At one point I really thought it was going to be impossible to recover, but there is hope for people with illnesses like mine (I now consider myself fully recovered!) and that's really important to hold on to. Our mindset shapes how we heal and how we feel about our health and wellbeing.

I now think of my long covid journey as a turning point in my life. It gave me the chance to create a life that works for me now and sustainably supports my health and wellbeing.

There's nothing quite like whizzing up a very simple homemade soup for lunch. This one is watercress and potato ❤️ and with just four ingredients - olive oil, potato, watercress and veg stock - it's an easy and tasty winner! Plus the soup maker does pretty much all the hard work!

From August, I have a few brilliant opportunities for 4 or 6 weeks of free health coaching. If you want to work on your health and wellness, this could be for you!

Health and wellness coaching is a client-led, collaborative process that aims to empower you to make conscious, sustainable lifestyle choices and achieve your health vision.

You'll need to commit to 4 or 6 weeks of sessions and be willing to work on your health and wellness.

This is the final stage of my health coaching qualification so you'll receive all the benefits of my knowledge and training.

One of my lovely case studies said: "Karen has such a calming and gentle manner, and I could tell while I was offloading all my failings and insecurities, that she really cared and was processing a lot of information very quickly.
