Standing up for misinformation. Always check with a health professional who is trained in the area. Always realise that one size doesn’t fit all. You are an individual.
So I wrote a thing. A debunk of sorts. Read and share if you are interested in carnivore diets. It gives some balance to the tidal wave of misinformation I see online these days.
When you want to write a nuanced essay with references and context, a reel or video just doesn’t cut it. I had to share some important facts to offer a scientific perspective on some of the incorrect content in this episode. Dr Georgia Ede seems like a lovely person and a caring doctor. is a compelling and epic production piece with an engaging host in - as a result it has had unrivalled success. And there have been some amazing guests too including people I love like Shahroo Izadi, Dr Will Bulsiewicz, Mo Gowdat, Dr Stacey Simms and most recently Prof Sarah Berry.
If you heard the episode in question, read the Substack article I wrote and share it. I’ll be so grateful. If you haven’t listened in, perhaps don’t. And you can read the article anyway. It’s important.

I cover:
- do we really have to be in ketosis to burn fat?
- do we really need fibre?
- Is nutritional epidemiology really just guesswork and wishful thinking?
- what is Brandolini’s law?
Spoiler: Diary of a CEO fact checkers debunked the answer given for the second question themselves, which is visible if you’re watching the podcast on YouTube.
