Physi-kal sports therapy ✨

🏃 With the coming up in a couple of weeks, a lot of runners will be in their final phases of prep and starting their taper down, this can be a great time to add in a "pre event massage" 🙌 to aid recovery from training and prepare the body physically and mentally for the race, if you need some help/advice feel free to get in touch 🎽😊

🏋️ Distance running is particularly hard on the body, especially for people newer to the sport, the continuous impact places a lot of stress on the muscles, joints and connective tissue....
Here are a few exercises you can easily add into your routine to aid your running and help reduce those niggling aches/pains.

1. Soleus raises (lower calf muscle takes more strain in distance running)
2. Hip hitch (targeting the smaller glute muscles to help stabilise the hip during running action)
3. Low to high plank (improve core strength and also upper body strength which is key in running)

☝️ Hope these help, and if you have any questions or want any information on "pre event massage" drop me a message 🙏
