We’re incredibly grateful to The Cambridge Business Golf Society (CBGS) for choosing CPSL Mind as its Charity Partner of the Year 2026. ⛳💙

Lisa Gibson, CPSL Mind's Head of Services (Business and Innovation) was delighted to attend The Cambridge Business Golf Society marquee event yesterday at The Grove in Hertfordshire. Everyone enjoyed a challenging course with blue skies and were then treated to a delicious dinner.

Lisa took the opportunity to share about CPSL Mind's vital work in our communities, including raising awareness of our services and our training courses. A key message for the day was around the STOP Su***de campaign - the importance of asking someone how they are, and asking again.

The Cambridge Business Golf Society will be running a number of fundraising initiatives throughout the year, including their Summer Ball taking place on Friday 15th May. We look forward to supporting and attending more events in the month ahead.

In the last year, CPSL Mind supported more than 8,000 local people. We know that support is needed now more than ever. Fundraising helps us to develop and deliver our vital services across our communities. We’re so grateful to CBGS for choosing us and for helping us reach more people.

By working together, we can help ensure more people feel heard, supported and able to access help when they need it most 💙

From offering comfort on difficult days to bringing routine, companionship and unconditional love, pets can have a powerful impact on our wellbeing.

Whether it’s a wagging tail, a gentle purr, or simply their calming presence, the bond we share with our pets can help us feel more grounded, connected and supported.

😊🌤️We have really been enjoying the lighter evenings recently!

🌳💚Spending time in green space or bringing nature into your everyday life can benefit both your mental and physical wellbeing. For example, doing things like growing food or flowers, exercising outdoors or being around animals can have lots of positive effects.

👀Also, one of the five ways to wellbeing is to ‘Take Notice’ – ‘Taking notice’ of the world around you, in the here and now, can directly enhance your wellbeing. Many of us spend so much time thinking about things in the past or worries about the future that we don’t enjoy the moment and the environment around us. Try taking some time every day to savour the moment and the environment around you.

🌷🐝We’ve put together 6 ways to connect with nature in Spring, including reflections from the wonderful team at Earth and Mind in Cambridge, and we would love to know where you have been exploring and about your experiences!

Stress is a common mental health challenge. Many different situations or life events can cause stress. It is often triggered when we experience something new or unexpected that threatens our sense of self or when we feel we have little control over a situation. We all deal with stress differently 💙

🤔Working out what triggers stress for you can help you anticipate problems and you can think of ways to solve them. Even if you can't avoid these situations, being prepared can help.

🌷April is and we've put together a guide on our website with some suggestions to help you manage stress. If you're looking for more support, do get in touch with our team or click the 'Get Help Now' tab on the CPSL Mind website if you need urgent support 📞

🙋🏼‍♀️Our training team at CPSL Mind deliver a Mental Health Awareness Course, which can help you learn how to identify signs of stress and common mental health problems as well as how to maintain positive mental health for yourself and others. If you're like to know more about the training, you can email the team at: training@cpslmind.org.uk

💙This group provides women with the opportunity to develop meaningful connections with other Mums and may especially benefit you if you feel lonely, isolated or have experienced mental health problems or low self-esteem.

👉The Connecting Muslim Mums group runs between 16th April - 21st May.
⏰Time: 10am-12pm
📍Location: Gladstone Park Family Hub, Gladstone Park Community Centre, 927 Bourges Blvd, Peterborough PE1 2AN

Jen Anker, Perinatal Services Manager at CPSL Mind, said, “It’s great to see the fifth Family Hub in the city officially open, helping ensure that support for families is more accessible to all. It was wonderful to see so many local partners coming together to support the space, and I know there is already a fantastic programme being delivered from the centre.

“We’re also looking forward to running our next Connecting Muslim Mums group from the hub. The rooms have been beautifully transformed into welcoming and calming environments, helping families feel comfortable and supported when engaging with services."

You’re Not Alone – And You Don’t Have to Struggle in Silence.
At CPSL Mind, we’re here to support you through every step of your perinatal journey.

Whether you need a space to connect with others, a course to rebuild confidence, or simply a friendly face who gets it, we’ve got your back 💙🙂

A big thank you to Cambridge Business Golf Society (CBGS) for choosing CPSL Mind as their Charity Partner of the Year.

We’re incredibly grateful for their support, which will help raise awareness of mental health and enable us to support more people in our local communities. 💙

For many, supporting mental health is deeply personal. Paul French, 2026 Captain of CBGS, shared how important it is to open up conversations, especially among men and within leadership communities where pressures can be high and speaking up doesn’t always come easily.

Paul says: “There were a few reasons I chose CPSL Mind. The work it does to promote conversations about mental health is incredibly valuable. Our society has a predominantly male membership, and men can often find it difficult to open up, so this is something that really resonates with us. We are a society of business leaders and influencers, which can bring significant pressures and responsibilities. Anything that helps us care better for ourselves and others is something I strongly support.

This is also personal for me. My father struggled with his mental health throughout his life and sadly took his own life 10 years ago. If what we raise for CPSL Mind helps even one person step away from that decision, it will mean everything. Life has its ups and downs, and it’s incredibly sad that so many people feel they are facing it alone. Anything that brings light, hope and the belief that everything will be alright should be encouraged.”

By working together, we can help ensure more people feel heard, supported and able to access help when they need it most. We’re so grateful to CBGS for choosing us and for helping us reach more people across our communities.

They’ll be running a number of fundraising initiatives throughout the year, with their biggest event being the Summer Ball (see pic 2).
