Might seem early but Dr Siriwardena has the following advice:

Hay Fever Update: Managing Symptoms This Season
Avoid repeating last year’s hay fever symptoms by starting your allergen avoidance and antihistamine treatments at least 15 days before your symptoms start. If you have no idea when that is, start the following now.

Simple self care
Keep windows closed on high pollen days
Shower and change clothes after being outdoors
Use petroleum jelly around the nostrils to trap pollen
Check daily pollen forecasts to plan ahead
Wear “shades, indoors at nighttime”

Over the Counter Treatments
Antihistamine tablets or liquid taken daily such as cetirizine, loratadine or fexofenadine
Steroid nasal sprays reduce inflammation and congestion
Antihistamine eye drops
Sinus Rinse products

Prescriptions
Remember if you needed prescribed medication last year, contact us soon so that you can start your treatment before your symptoms start.
