We have an unprecedented demand in prescriptions of late. Please do request your medications a full 7 days before running out to give us 5 days to process them from our end. We apologise for the inconvenience. We are increasing the work of prescriptions to our GPs and planning to recruit more pharmacy help.

Please try not to chase completion as this increases our workload, please look out on your NHS app or on line for authorisation.

Resident doctors began industrial action at 7am today (7 April) and will continue to be on strike until 7am on 13 April.

It is really important that patients who need urgent medical care continue to come forward as normal, especially in emergency and serious life-threatening cases - when someone is seriously ill or injured, or their life is at risk.

During the strikes all other NHS staff (including consultants and other specialist doctors) will still be working, and the focus of the NHS will be on ensuring as many services as possible continue to operate safely.
If you have an appointment with any service then please continue to attend as normal unless contacted.

If you need urgent health help, use NHS 111 online (www.111.nhs.uk) or call 111. Your symptoms will be assessed, and you will be provided with healthcare advice or an appointment to see a doctor or nurse if this is needed.

If you are in a mental health crisis, call NHS 111 and get straight through to mental health help by selecting option 2.

The NHS website has lots of advice to help you to look after yourself when you have minor symptoms. There is also information about what is a serious medical emergency.

Some pharmacies will be open over weekend. So if you are unwell over the weekend and want some advice then a pharmacy is a great place to get help. They have private rooms if needed and know when you should seek help elsewhere.
