Last week, we suffered a terrible loss when our friend and colleague, Noga Sella, passed away alongside her father, Yoram Hirshfeld, after a tragic accident. Noga was a Consultant Physicist here at CDP, where she shared her intelligence and warmth with us every day. We'll miss Noga deeply, and our thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad and difficult time. We'll be sharing a fuller tribute to her soon.

As if the Euros weren’t enough excitement, last Thursday was the Cambridge Consultancy Cup final between CDP and Cambridge Consultants. And the winner was… CDP! Final score: 3-1.

Having won the Winter 21/22 season and on an 8-game winning streak, expectations going into the final were high. And the lads didn’t disappoint…

Special mentions go to James as our top goal scorer, Tom and Mark for their remarkable defensive skills, Connor as our box-to-box midfielder and Kaloyan for being a creative workhorse! Not forgetting the crowd for their enthusiastic support.

Our new home is really taking shape!

Here you can see our new Innovation and Manufacturing Centers, providing 82,000 sq ft of flexible space for projects, offices, labs, and workshops – triple our present UK office and lab space. And this is just the beginning... other buildings in Phase Two will bring our total to 149,000 sq ft.

We're moving! As the last 12 months have seen us double our turnover and grow our headcount by over 50%, we'll be moving to state-of-the-art new headquarters in Bourn, , in 2022.

Our new purpose-built premises will be more than twice the size of our current base and have labs, workshops, a manufacturing facility, and a 200-seat auditorium that are world-class.

Many of CDP’s employee owners use bikes to get around the city and commute, so Camcycle's work to enable cycling also empowers us to reduce our carbon footprints and live healthier lives.”

All this week, we’re highlighting the wonderful work of five local charities, chosen by our employee owners to each receive £5,000, in what are uniquely challenging times for so many. Today, Clare tells us why children’s mental health charity Blue Smile gets her vote…

“Nearly four pupils in every UK class have a mental health problem. They’re at increased risk of poor attainment and developing mental illness as adults. The closing of schools during COVID-19 – separating them from essential learning time with their teachers and being able to spend time with each other – has made this problem worse. It’s important the impact of COVID-19 on children isn’t forgotten, and they get help as early as possible. Blue Smile provides this essential early intervention and expert support to children who are struggling and “gives children their childhoods back”.
