All men aged 65 and over are encouraged to attend an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) screening. You’ll receive a letter inviting you to attend an AAA screening appointment, this is usually sent 3 -6 weeks in advance.

Screenings can help find abdominal aortic aneurysms early which means they can be monitored and treated sooner, helping to prevent life threatening ruptures.

Dear Everyone,

I wanted to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone for the lovely messages, cards and presents I received at my retirement. I was really touched by them all. Thanks also to everyone who came in to say goodbye to me on Saturday afternoon- it meant so much to me. It's been a joy and a privilege to work at Burwell these last 28 years. I couldn't have had better people to work with, and I couldn't have had a nicer village to look after!
