Today we looked after a funeral at the Church of St Andrew & St Mary in Grantchester. The service was beautifully led by The Reverend Canon Dr Mark Pryce and Reverend Jim Robinson, followed by a burial in the churchyard.
We’re also very grateful to our colleagues at Ely Funeral Service, Chris and Michael, who kindly joined us as bearers to help support the family on the day.

At Weyman Funeral Directors, we’re proud to be an all female team in what has traditionally been a male dominated profession. Our branch is run entirely by women, which is something quite rare in the industry.

We look after every step of the process ourselves, from bringing the deceased into our care, to making coffins, dressing and preparing loved ones, and directing the funeral on the day.

We are also fortunate to receive support from our male colleagues in other branches and from our casual crew when needed. Together, we make a strong team, united by the same purpose: to care with dignity and compassion.

We believe women bring something uniquely gentle and thoughtful to the care of those who have died and to the families we walk alongside. For us, it is more than a role, it is a privilege.

This weekend, Danny from our sister branch, Ely Funeral Service , will be bravely taking on a charity skydive in support of East Anglian Children’s Hospice (EACH). 🌟

East Anglia's Children's Hospices - EACH provides vital care and support to children and young people with life-threatening conditions, as well as their families, across our region. The money raised helps fund specialist nursing, emotional support, and respite care when it’s needed most.

Danny is already halfway to his £400 target and would be so grateful for your support in helping him reach it.
