The Autonomic Response Test is a test I use with every new client I see in order to determine the root causes of symptoms and the priority of the treatment needed. I do not preclude further testing, and we do follow up with other testing if required or desired.
Autonomic Response Testing (ART) is a simple, yet highly effective and advanced form of biofeedback / bioresonance
assessment technique used to determine disturbances in your body and possible remedies. It is non-invasive, non-electronic,
and can be used to assess people of any age and a most valuable functional assessment tool in determining the root cause
of health disturbances.
The "autonomic' in ART refers to the autonomic nervous system. This is the part of the nervous system responsible for all the
automatic functions of your body such as your heartbeat, breathing, digestion, healing, etc. Detectable and treatable problems
within this part of your nervous system are present is all body dysfunction (such as allergy) and all chronic diseases.
Developed by Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt, who blended the muscle testing of American Applied Kinesiology with the
understanding of the anatomy and physiology of German Neural Therapy. The result is a highly structured biofeedback
system designed to give reliable and reproducible results.
There is no test for infections, toxins, food intolerances etc., that is 100% accurate. In our experience, ART is generally very
accurate in its findings, but has its limitations, as with anything. We recommend using laboratory tests in conjunction with ART
to gain as comprehensive and accurate a picture as possible. ART is just one of the functional assessment tools that may be
used by the Integrative practitioner along with conventional medical tests and sound medical judgement to develop an
Integrative medical strategy.
During non-face-to-face consultations, we use equipment to 'amplify' your frequency for testing which has shown to be as
effective as is done in person.
I work alongside Rhoda Kingston who is a very experienced ART practitioner, and have had really good results.

You don't need an allergy or intolerance to have a problem with wheat, potatoes, beans, lentils, pulses, nut and seeds. For the purpose of this post let's have a look at wheat. Wheat contains a natural occuring chemical called phytate, they make to minerals we need, unavailable for absorption, even if it says on the packet it contain iron and calcium it doesn't mean you absorb it. The next on the list is a substance called lectins, in short they bind to the intestinal lining and cause damage. Luckily our intestinal lining grows very quick, but with a diet high in grains, the growth vs damage balance becomes upset. Further there are Gluten and Gliadin two proteins found in wheat that can cause problems. Testing for gluten and gliandin is problematic so even if you have been tested negative for intollerance or allergy you still may be exactly that.

IBS: A misunderstood, often underestimated condition by the medical establishment and social environment of sufferer.
Often some relative minor lifestyle adjustments can bring great improvements.
1. No white wheat based products
2. No sugary drink, especially fizzy
3. Add magnesium rich foods and/or a good mag supplement
4. Try slippery elm powder or capsules
5. Probiotics
6. No or not more than one coffee and no more than 2 English breakfast teas or green teas.
7. Coffee is NOT a breakfast, I may make you feel awake but in reality you are giving yourself a cup a stress setting yourself up for the day.
8. Stress is a factor, high on the list of thing that makes symptoms worse. Personalised stress management tools are much more effective than any tablet or capsule can ever be.

Regular digestive problems indicate a increased level of (local) inflammation and subsequent activated immune system. Repairing a house, paying builders and material is expensive, you can't spent the money for repair on the new pair of shoes you wanted or needed. The same with energy in our bodies, if it is needed somewhere it can be spent other places. Like, just the feeling of having some 'spare' energy. Certain 'bad' foods and unresolved health issues and literally 'rob' our energy. Any it doesn't have to be that way. Identify the issues, Identify the cause, make changes, Feel good!

Candida: One of the most hardy, resistant bacterial (fungal) strains in our digestive system. it is believed that 30-50% of the western population carry it, and only in a fraction does is become pathogenic (disease causing). Although it's favorite food maybe sugars. simply cutting out sugars will reduce symptoms but will not solve the problem. Restoring gut flora, gut PH is essential in getting back in control.

Probiotics and the gut, an analogy.
Imagine our gut is a war field, 2 teams, the good guys and the bad. The bad are like Polar bears, they can stand, a very harsh environment, in fact the thrive in it. The good guys are also very strong but only in a nice moderate climate. The bad guy like, sugars and carbs it is like a weapon to them. Now imagine taking probiotics (the good guys), whilst on a daily basis, eating and drinking lots of carbohydrates, starches and sugars. The chances are, that we are sending the troops to a harsh environment is already strong, but giving the bad guys 'guns', leaves little chance in creating a lasting change in gut.

Although this is simplified, same as us, we like a certain environment and create a warm home, so do bacteria so we have to give the the right material to build a nice home. The home that we call our digestive system. A good 'home' creates many 'happy' bacteria ready to keep the bad guys at bay.
