Our story
Cambridgeshire Hearing Help supports people with hearing loss to maintain their wellbeing and independence.
We work across Cambridgeshire, providing NHS hearing aid maintenance (cleaning and re-tubing) and hearing loss information/advice/guidance via 43 community-based drop-in sessions, home visits, residential home visits, and prison visits.
Other free services we provide include NHS hearing aid batteries by post, hearing loss awareness-raising talks to community groups, lip-reading classes in Cambridge and signposting to other classes, peer support, ‘Living Well with Hearing Loss’ workshops, and rewarding volunteering roles.
We support approximately 6,500 people per year, 73% of whom are aged 80+.
