πŸ”·οΈ FEELING SO PROUD when people come away from learning with AG First Aid Training, feeling more knowledgeable and confident and with the learning and skills that they can apply to do something rather than nothing in a medical emergency.

This is what first aid is about.... CONFIDENCE BOOSTING! Not...expecting first aiders to take on more knowledge or skills over and above first aid. It's FIRST AID that aids the emergency services to be able to do more for the casualty when they get there. It's FIRST AID that can make the difference between life or death! It's FIRST AID that is simple and easy to learn! This is what AG First Aid Training is about! First Aid saves lives. The more people who learn it, then more lives can be saved.

πŸ”·οΈ DID YOU KNOW WOMEN ARE LESS LIKELY to receive bystander CPR? In this day and age, it is shocking to find that a woman who suffers a cardiac arrest in public is far less likely to survive than a man. In fact women are 27% less likely to have bystander than if it is a man. Why? Probably because they are a woman and people are worried about where to place their hands and whether it is ok to touch them. GUYS AND GALS it's ok to touch them!!!

If you have a cardiac arrest, you are effectively dead. It is only through CPR and defibrillation that you will survive, so it is vital that someone starts CPR immediately. The woman’s breasts actually tend to fall either side of the torso during CPR so won't get in the way of chest compressions and when it comes to the defib pads, the left breast may need lifting to apply pad, but can then fall back over the top of the pad; the shock goes through the underside of the pad. The only certainty of not doing CPR and defibrillation is that the casualty will die, so it’s definitely worth acting and potentially saving a life.

Dont delay and ontact us today to organise your training for the Autumn and Winter of 2025.

YES! We do have a laugh on our courses but in all seriousness learning First Aid does mean you need to put aside your worries about coming into contact with people. Yes you do get into peoples personal space. And yes, we build up people's CONFIDENCE to to do so because in a real medical emergency there's no time to be precious about it when you need to SAVE A LIFE!

This group were fantastic and we had good fun on the course whilst learning important life saving skills. ** NOTE: the group were not doing the abdominal thrust just placing the fist position. NEVER EVER practice this for real on a real person. Only ever do this if someone is severely choking!
