Cambridgeshire County Council is carrying out some improvement works to the paths and cattle grids around Ditton Meadows (including parts of the Chisholm Trail) to make walking and cycling better and ensure that the cows remain in the meadows.

Here’s a summary of the works and diversions which are starting today and will last around four weeks. View and download the map to share with others here:https://www.camcycle.org.uk/images/blog/ChisholmTrail-Diversion2025.pdf

There will also be council-installed information and diversion signage at the location of the works.

Come and get your bike marked for free! 🚲

We want to make it as easy, safe and enjoyable as possible for people coming to the Cambridge Biomedical Campus to do so via sustainable travel – such as cycling or walking. In line with this, we're running another bike marking event at the Green and the Gardens on Thursday 22nd May, 10am-2pm.

The bike marking events are supported by the Cambridgeshire Constabulary and CamCycle. 👮🏻‍♀️

Getting your bicycle marked ensure that if it is lost or stolen and it's later found, the Police will be able to return it to you. Many stolen bikes go unclaimed because the rightful owner can’t be located.

Meet Jodie, a participant on our Routeways to Work programme at OWL Bikes. Last week she collected her tricycle which she's been helping to refurbish whilst on the Routeways to Work programme. She says it will help her to be more independent as she'll be able to ride to her local supermarket and carry her shopping home in the basket. Happy cycling Jodie! 🚲🌞

Ever heard someone talk about cadence or granny gears and wondered what on earth they meant? Fear not! Our beginner’s guide to cycling jargon breaks down the lingo, so you can chat like a seasoned rider in no time.
