Being expected to process information and make a decision at the same time.

VBAC conversations can involve risk, pressure and quick decision making but not everyone processes information quickly, especially if you’re neurodivergent.
You’re allowed to ask questions, take time and come back to a decision when you feel ready.

My pregnancy and birth support is designed FOR neurodivergent and VBAC women. I don’t give you the same support as I would a neurotypical because you need more than that đŸ«¶

I’m going to be running a drop in on the first Tuesday of the month at for ND and/or VBAC pregnancies with the first session being the 5th May!đŸ€°
Both of these require personalised care and planning which is why I think they’re so important to support.
I have experience with both as I have ADHD (also querying autism!) and I had a VBA3C almost 3 years ago.
I’d love for you to come along and have a chat with me about anything that’s on your mind regarding your pregnancy.
And if you can’t make it, that’s ok too because my inboxes are always open đŸ˜˜đŸ«¶

The maternity system doesn’t have the capacity to support all women’s preferences and needs. However, this is something that is really important for neurodivergent women and women planning a VBAC. They need to know every option and have the chance to think it all through before making a decision.
This is the support I offer as a doula. I provide that continuous and steady care, give you the space to make the decisions that are right for you and allow you to be yourself as you welcome your baby into the world ❀

For so long, women have been failed by the medical system. And you would think that the maternity system, a system which is solely there for women, would be on our side.
But it’s not, especially when you don’t conform to what medical guidelines say you should do. And there are times where those guidelines don’t act in your best interest. They’re there to make the lives of the medical team looking after you easier.
Being neurodivergent adds a whole other layer of complexity and wanting a VBAC? Well, that’s almost unheard of at the moment. I’ve seen the recent statistics for Kettering Hospital, one of the ones that I support as a doula, and the caesarean rate is 54.7% đŸ€Ż
Please get in touch if you need help with either navigating the system as an ND woman or if you want a VBAC
or maybe both of those things together! đŸ«¶

As a doula with a special interest in neurodivergence and VBACs, I offer support that’s tailored to you. We explore and research together so that you can make decisions that feel right for you.
If you need preparation for appointments or space to process information, that’s what you’ll get with me.
If you’re looking for a different kind of support, I’m here ✋

Being pressured away from a VBAC can feel overwhelming, especially if you’re neurodivergent and expected to make decisions quickly.
You don’t have to decide anything on the spot. You’re allowed to ask questions,
take time to process,
and come back to a decision when you feel ready.
If you need support with what to say in these situations, I share scripts and tools to help you feel more confident in appointments đŸ’Ș

Unpopular opinion: asking questions in pregnancy doesn’t make you difficult. During antenatal appointments, it can sometimes feel like you’re expected to just accept what you’re told and move on.
But asking questions, wanting to understand your options and taking time to think, that’s not being difficult. That’s being informed. And if you’re neurodivergent, needing that extra time and clarity makes even more sense.
You deserve to feel confident in the decisions you’re making about your body and your birth.
I create and share tools and scripts to help you navigate pregnancy and appointments without feeling overwhelmed.

Things that make pregnancy harder for neurodivergent women that no one really talks about.
The overwhelm of antenatal appointments. Being given too much information at once.
Feeling rushed to make decisions. Trying to process everything while people are talking.
If you’re neurodivergent and pregnant, this isn’t a personal failing. It’s a system that isn’t built for the way your brain works.
You deserve support that actually takes that into account.
I share tools, scripts and support to help you feel more prepared and less overwhelmed in pregnancy and birth.

Do you struggle to speak up in antenatal appointments? đŸ«Ł You’re not alone. Many neurodivergent parents feel overwhelmed, forget questions, or just end up agreeing to things they didn’t want.
My Birth Conversations That Change Things workbook gives ND parents practical scripts, audios, and help sheets to navigate appointments with confidence, reduce pregnancy anxiety, and advocate for the birth you want, whether it’s a VBAC or any other plan đŸ’Ș👏
