When your nervous system feels like spaghetti…

Sometimes a gentle pause (like Bowen) is just what you need to start untangling.

Fatigue isn’t always physical.

A wired nervous system, shallow breathing, poor sleep, or being “always on” can wear you out.

Bowen Therapy may help create space for rest — not just in the body, but in the whole system, to the best of its ability.

Rest is not laziness. It’s a biological need.

In Bowen Therapy, zoning out isn’t rude — it’s a win.

Falling asleep mid-session? Just your nervous system saying thank you.

We’ll take the Zzzs as a compliment! 😉

Local ladies! There’s a new wellness centre in Willingham; Denmark House Wellness Centre… please give it a follow.

On Monday last week I took part in the qigong class and I highly recommend it. Gentle exercise, the best way to describe qigong for those that haven’t heard of it is that it’s a mix between tai chi and yoga. Stretching the energy meridians. After the session I felt calm and nurtured. Since the session I have slept well and have felt great 🌟

The class is on tomorrow (Monday) 1.30pm-2.30pm
£13 per class

"Highly recommend Ruth and her qigong sessions. Gentle movement, nurturing and restorative."

"I have previously tried yoga, tai chi, pilates, cranial osteopathy and physiotherapy and got to a certain point and had to give up due to pain. Practicing qigong regularly and with the option of sitting down I have started to believe that my body has the ability to exercise in a meaningful way."

Being a Bowen Therapist means trusting the process —
and the pauses.

Sometimes slowing down is the most profound care we can offer.

🎉 5 Fun Facts About the Bowen Technique 🎉
(AKA the gentle therapy with powerful results!)

1️⃣ It’s all about fascia! 👍
Bowen moves target the connective tissue (fascia) that wraps around your muscles and organs - helping to release tension, restore balance, and reboot your body.

2️⃣ No cracking, no crunching 🤗
It’s gentle, non-invasive, and you stay fully clothed - it’s what makes Bowen Therapy so unique (and relaxing!).

3️⃣ Less is more ✨
Practitioners often pause between moves to let the body respond. Those quiet moments? That’s when the magic happens.

4️⃣ It was developed by an Aussie legend.🇦🇺
Tom Bowen, the creator of the technique, was a self-taught therapist from Australia - helping thousands of people with his hands-on healing in the 1950s–80s.

5️⃣ It helps more than just sore backs. 🤕
From sports injuries to stress, headaches to hormonal balance - Bowen can support a wide range of conditions by helping the body heal itself.

🌿Becoming the Captain of Your Own Ship🌿 (learn to control your thoughts and thinking )

⚘️"Sometimes that nagging, negative inner voice isn’t originally yours—it’s a collection of echoes from past experiences, voices of others who imposed their doubts on you. Recognizing that this voice is someone else’s doing is the first step. When you hear it say things like, 'I’m not worthy,' or 'I’m just a loser,' pause and ask: Where did these words come from? Often, they’re not a reflection of your true self, but rather inherited messages that no longer serve you.⚘️

🍁Understanding that you're not merely a vessel for these imposed thoughts is liberating. Imagine your mind as a ship: too long have you allowed external winds—other people’s opinions and harmful past lessons—to steer your course. It’s time to reclaim the helm. Becoming the captain of your own ship is a lifelong journey—a path toward deep inner peace where stress and anxiety gradually lose their grip. It all begins with transforming what you think and how you think.🍁

🍒Start by challenging these intrusive thoughts with mindfulness. When you catch a negative thought, observe it without judgment. Ask yourself, 'Is this really my belief, or just a borrowed echo?' Replace it with affirmations that reflect your innate worth. Practice meditation, journaling, or simply a quiet walk—activities that help you slow down and reconnect with your true, unfiltered self. Over time, by gently questioning and redirecting your thoughts, you slowly dismantle the power of those negative voices.🍒

🍄Remember, every small moment of recognizing and redirecting your inner dialogue is a step toward becoming the captain of your own ship—a step toward a life defined by peace, resilience, and unshakeable self-worth. Embrace this process wholeheartedly, knowing that while it is a lifelong journey, each conscious thought is a precious decision to shape your destiny."🍄
