About me
Since having my first child at 23 I have always had an interest in supporting others through the journey of pregnancy, childbirth and parenting. As an adult, I studied permaculture and sustainability and have worked in both Australia and the UK in community engagement roles supporting groups to work towards environmental responsibility and community cohesion. I have practised yoga in various forms for 10 years and discovered Birthlight during my second pregnancy. I attended the Birthlight pregnancy yoga and active birthing workshops and then the baby yoga classes. I was so inspired by the ethos of Birthlight and the positive effect it had on my whole family through this journey. In my spare time I love to spend as much time as possible with my gorgeous family, do various crafty things, practice yoga and have my hands in the soil. A gentle chance to step outside together, let the babies snooze, the older children wander and explore, and share a bit of fresh air and conversation along the way.

We take a slow, easy stroll with plenty of pauses to notice what’s around us, and then gather at the end in the orchard for a relaxed chat.

There’s something quietly powerful about choosing to practise this work alongside other parents.

Again and again, people tell me how much these community challenges become a place of real change — not because anything is “fixed,” but because they feel more supported, more curious about themselves, and more able to meet everyday moments with a little more care.

My 6-week Nervous System Regulation Community Practice Challenge starts tis weekend. Each week offers simple, doable practices, gentle prompts for reflection, and space to notice how your nervous system shows up in real life — with your children, in your relationships, and in your own body.

What often surprises people is just how much learning happens in the sharing: seeing your own experience reflected in someone else’s words, and realising you don’t have to figure this out on your own.

I created the New Mama Bundle as gentle support for that in-between space — five short, soothing meditations designed for the fourth trimester.

Each one is around 10 minutes, so they can fit into real life:

I really enjoyed making these little chicken and potato pies for my coeliac's Christmas dinner tomorrow!

A few things to know as we head towards the end of the year:

• Baby Yoga bookings for next term open on 15th December — unless you’re a Baby Village subscriber, in which case you can book now.
