Supporting Self-Harm Awareness Month.....
March is dedicated to raising awareness around self-harm and challenging the deep-seated stigma often attached to it.
Raising awareness is a vital step for everyone involved: those experiencing the urge to self-harm, the parents and loved ones supporting them, and the professionals working in a therapeutic capacity. Our goal is to eradicate judgement and provide meaningful support to those who often suffer in silence. It is important to remember that anyone can be affected by self-harm.

Tips for Supporting Others (and Yourself)
Supporting a loved one is a courageous act, but it begins with managing your own well-being. Here is how you can help:
Manage Your Emotions: You may feel upset, scared, or even annoyed. Take a moment to process your feelings so you can respond with calm and compassion.
Listen Deeply: Hear their words without interrupting, reacting with shock, or passing judgement. Sometimes, being heard is the first step toward healing.
Facilitate Access to Help: Gently assist them in finding and accessing timely, professional support.
Prioritise Your Own Health: You cannot pour from an empty cup. Remember that you are important too, and seeking your own support is essential.
