Another comp under my belt!

Had a fantastic day down at

Great workouts, Great vibe and Great atmosphere

Loved seeing so many of us giving it a bash!

My team was 🔥 and so proud of us all, first time we had worked out as a 4 and I am super proud of how we performed!

Wasn’t enough to get a podium finish but there were some great teams competing, plus only my 2nd comp! S

Unfortunately I pulled my back in the first round in the 160kg deadlift so wasn’t firing on all cylinders for the remainder but still gave it my best!

I absolutely love taking part in these comps, it’s so exciting and feels like something to work towards constantly and improve on!

I think coaching is something that everyone can benefit from, even if you have been into fitness for years!

Having personal coaching is having the acceptability and expertise of someone who knows what they are talking about!

For those who don’t know my name in Dave and I am a coach who has helped 100s of men and women over the last few years build strength, fitness levels, confidence and belief in themselves!

It’s something I am super passionate about and it’s something that I have been through myself!

I working with parents who want to be the best version of themselves and build longevity

Being a parent has its challenges and having to think about what to do in the gym or how to approach their fat loss isn’t always something they have time for!

For those who are new here or for those who need to understand the process and reality of time scales

When it’s comes to training or going to the gym it’s difficult to stay motivated when you don’t see results instantly

We live in a world that you can pretty much get things instantaneously once we push a button, we’re not used to waiting and when we do we lose our minds

It’s the same when it comes to fat loss or building strength, we want results as soon as we join the gym but a lot us fall off or give up as a result of not getting the results straight away

My fat loss has taken years, not weeks, not months but years and ALOT of trial and error

I have been close to 118kg 18/19 stone roughly) and been as low as 80kg (12 stone) all of which has taken fu***ng hard work and patience

If you want serious results and I mean sustainable results then buckle up as it takes time

Don’t fall for the 6 week shred or drop body fat quick bo****ks as it is exactly that 🐮 💩

But also it’s great to look back and see how far you have come, this is definitely true for me, sure I am not ripped right now but I am hugely balanced with life so this is a win from when I was obsessed with my weight to now!

I use these photos to keep me motivated and help me appreciate while I may not hit PBs everyday I have started somewhere

Keep pushing everyone, 💪🏻 don’t quit🙂‍↔️ remember why you started 🙌🏻

Friday night lights at

Yes I went back to the gym Friday night to join the crew for the final CrossFit throw down 🤠

That does mean I did 25.3 twice 🤡

9:30 - RXed it - 159 reps (got to last row 9 cals)
18:50 - scaled it - finished in 16 mins

Why did I do it twice? Because Toby wanted to see what I do in the gym so he came with me!

25.2 you have been a blast!

Took this on this morning at 9:30 and decided to try RX it, it didn’t end well so much so I had to try it again tonight!

This morning I tried to strict pull up my way to 21 and this took far too long, it gassed me out of high meant I didn’t finish the first segment!

Tonight I decided to go for my current level which is scaled and I had a blast, so much so that I managed to kip my pull ups (1 at a time but much more effective) and I also managed to get my first chest to bar 💪🏻 it felt so good tonight!

What was EVEN better was the environment at I fu***ng love it, I love the space I love the people, it’s amazing! Everyone lifts you up, everyone supports you! It’s fantastic! Wouldn’t be the level I am now without their support and guidance

One thing I have learned is CrossFit is a very humbling sport, it’s not easy and it takes alot of patience!

So very happy in the end, polar to what I felt this morning!

To say I am buzzing would be an understatement

Today i took part in the and won 🏆

Bloody buzzing, what a great day and great experience! Thank you for hosting a brilliantly run competition 🙌🏻

The workouts pushed me to another level, I will never forget WOD 3 for as long as I live! I even managed a PB on the clean and jerk!

The his is the first competition I have ever entered after only starting CrossFit in October last year, thank you for being a great support and community!

This will definitely be the first of many to come!

Happy 5th birthday to my beautiful baby boy!

Seems only 5 mins ago we were locked down in Covid and I got to spend lots of time with you everyday dodging the virus

To now, a 5 year old who makes me laugh, cry and smile everyday!

How I lost over 40kg of body weight ⬇️

Where do I start 🤷🏻‍♂️

In my 20s I was very much into partying, drinking and eating (bad lifestyle)

I got a point where I got back of holiday and my photos really got me thinking 🤔

I was absolutely miserable with my body and my weight which at the time was 18.5st 😮

So how did I get from there to now 💪🏻

✅ Energy expenditure - started moving more (exercise)
✅ Consistency - stayed consistent in all aspects
✅ Tracked my food - made sure that I was in a deficit
✅ Set manageable goals - lose weight, set new goal etc
✅ Got accountability - I got the help of a coach
✅ Time - understood this wasn’t a quick fix
✅ Patience - trusted the process & didn’t expect miracles

With all the factors the rest is history

No fancy exercises, no special diets and no special supplements

Just nailing the basics and working hard!

Is fat loss is your goal in 2025 then here’s a tip!

Don’t go all out on your diet straight away, don’t starting eating air on January 1st!

When it comes to food, we know that eating less is the key to fat loss but consistency is just as important and if you start starving yourself from day 1 you will not last

This will inevitably mean you’ll give up on your diet and you’ll be disheartened

So what would I suggest to begin.

- I would track your food via an app or writing it down if your old school

- Once you see what your eating you can gradually eliminate foods that may be adding calories and just see where you can clean up your diet, fat loss can come from just taking out small parts

- Stick to whole foods, this will more less calorie dense meals and more manageable

- Make sure you have protein, carbs and ate for every meal

- Stay hydrated, drink more water

Fat loss doesn’t have to be super drastic but it needs to be manageable for you that will allow you to be consistent

Don’t go all in, gradually work at it and make small changes!
