The Service can be accessed by all appropriately referred patients in this area. The Nutrition and Dietetic Service provides tailored nutrition and dietetic advice to older people and adults in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to help them improve their health by making the appropriate lifestyle and food choices. The team also provides assessment and treatment for patients who need therapeutic diet
s and/or nutritional support. The wide range of our service includes:
- General adult dietetic clinics: Nutrition Support, suspected micro-nutrient deficiencies, healthy eating, diabetes, dietary management of Dyslipidaemia.
- Specialist adult dietetic clinics: Gastroenterology, Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, mental health.
- Nutrition support.
- Home enteral feeding service (this covers learning disability patients in Cambridge City and South Cambs, and all home enteral feeding patients in other parts of our catchment area).
- Home visits for patients unable to visit a clinic.
- Visits to patients in care homes.
- Adult and adolescent eating disorders
