Langdon House is a Residential and Dementia care home supporting older people in Chesterton, Cambridge, outstanding in care.

The home is local to the city centre with easy access and parking onsite. Langdon House is currently accepting new residents. Langdon House is a purpose built residential care home for older people situated in Chesterton on the north-eastern side of Cambridge, a mile from the City Centre. It is a beautifully designed spacious home with attractive landscaped gardens. There are 51 single rooms, all

with en-suite facilities to
accommodate 51 residents who are frail, elderly and may have a diagnosis of dementia. The facilities include a ground floor dementia unit consisting of eleven rooms, with a specialist team of staff dedicated to caring for and supporting these residents. The remaining 40 rooms are for older people who require care
in a residential setting. In order to endure peace of mind, all rooms are linked to a call system when staff assistance is required. The home is fully wheelchair accessible. Bedrooms are close to shared living and dining rooms. In addition, all
bathrooms are equipped with adapted fittings for an improved quality of life.

🎉 Meet the Manager – Community Celebration! 🎉

What a fantastic day we had at our Meet the Manager event! 💬💖 Our lovely community came together to meet our amazing Home Manager Andreea 🥰 and enjoy a vibrant mix of local stalls and smiling faces!💜

🛍️ From handcrafted goodies and crystals 🔮 to second-hand fashion 👗, knitted crafts 🧶, toiletries 🧼, and more – our vendors truly brought the magic!

🍔 Big shoutout to Chesterton's Mary's Food Van for keeping everyone fuelled and happy with delicious treats! 😋

It was heartwarming to see so many happy residents and community members enjoying the day. Thank you all for being a part of it! 💐

A big thank you to Pat and everyone from the Cambridge Walking Project who joined us for yesterday’s walk!

It was a real pleasure to meet new faces and enjoy some fresh air together. Our gentle stroll up to Stourbridge Common and back was just the right pace. Relaxing, refreshing, and full of good conversation.

We were especially lucky with the weather too! The rain held off, making for a lovely morning all around.

Looking forward to the next one! 🌿🚶‍♀️

🌸 Athena in Bloom Competition 🌸
What an incredible transformation we’ve seen at Langdon House! We are beyond grateful to our amazing Langdon team for making this garden makeover possible in such a short time. 💚

A huge thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who helped us paint benches, plant flowers, and bring joy to every corner of our garden. And let’s not forget Chef Karl – your Mad Hatter’s Tea Party cake was a true masterpiece! 🎂🎩

Special thanks to Michael our dedicated gardener, Dawn ,Clair, Rosie and Sophie– your hard work and passion made this dream a reality. 🏡🌿

Our little pond now has a few golden fish swimming happily, and the residents absolutely love their peaceful haven in the heart of Cambridge.

So many hands, hearts, and smiles came together to make this happen – we couldn’t possibly thank everyone enough.

👶💙 Celebrating a Special New Beginning! 💙👶

We are overjoyed to have celebrated a beautiful baby shower for our lovely Priscilla, as she prepares to welcome a precious new addition to her family — and ours!

🎉 Baby boy on the way — and he’s officially Langdon House’s first 2025 baby! 🍼💫

From heartfelt wishes to warm smiles, it was a day full of love, laughter, and community. Thank you to everyone who helped make it special.

We can’t wait to meet this little bundle of joy. Congratulations, Priscilla — your Langdon family is right here cheering you on every step of the way! 💙👣

🚤 A Beautiful Day on the River Ouse! ☀️

Langdon House residents got their sea legs on today! We had an amazing time aboard the Ladybird Boat traveling along the River Ouse! The weather was warm and sunny — perfect for a peaceful cruise along the river. 🌿

We stopped for a relaxing picnic lunch on the riverbank, enjoying good food, great company, and the beauty of nature all around us. 🧺🌞

A huge thank you to the Ladybird team for making the trip so memorable. 🐞🐞Smiles all round and plenty of happy memories made! 💜💜💜

🎻🌿 What a beautiful day in the garden! 🌞🎶

On Sunday we came together to celebrate "Open Care Home Week" and "Father’s Day" with our amazing residents, families, friends, neighbours, volunteers — and of course, everyone’s favourite furry friend, Sprocket the dog 🐾!

Our hearts were full as a talented strings duo filled the air with music 🎻 while we enjoyed some delicious wine & cheese 🍷🧀 under the sunshine.

Thank you to everyone who made the day so special. Moments like these remind us of the joy and connection that make our community truly feel like home 💜💜💜

☀️ Perfect Day Out at Milton Country Park! 🌳🦆

Yesterday, our residents at Langdon House enjoyed not one, but two special trips to Milton Country Park! Thanks to Cambridge Dial-a-Ride, we traveled in comfort and style. 🚌💚

The sun was shining, the lake views were stunning 🌞🌊, and we were greeted by the joyful sounds of children on a school trip 🎒👧👦. We also met many friendly faces — especially the four-legged kind 🐶🐾.

There’s nothing like nature, sunshine, and great company to lift the spirits. A huge thank you to everyone who made it such a joyful day!
