Thank you for being part of The Caring Place journey so far.
Every class attended, every appointment, message sent, moment shared and bit of support has meant more than you know.
This space was created with so much love, and it’s been beautiful watching it grow into a community of care, connection and healing.

I’ve been feeling very emotional these last few days… in the best, most tender way.
So deeply grateful for the people I have around me, for the love, the support, the laughter, the holding-up when things feel heavy.

I’m also feeling grateful for all the years I had with my loved ones who are no longer here, and for all the little signs that seem to appear just when I need them most.

This is the first Christmas without you, Grump. You would have loved the dinner today — honestly, it’s the best one I’ve done yet. You’d have had a good laugh about that. 💛

Here’s to gratitude for where we are right now.
To pausing… breathing… especially when things feel difficult.
And then gently moving forward — creating the life you want, taking the chances, and trusting yourself to do so.

Some days, parenting feels less like guiding
and more like holding everything together with tired hands.

When your children have different needs, different triggers, different ways of coping…
it can feel relentless.

One needs space.
One needs connection.
Both need you — at the same time.

It’s draining.
It’s lonely.
And it’s the kind of hard that rarely gets talked about.

You try to stay calm when there’s shouting.
You try to regulate your own emotions while teaching them how to regulate theirs.
You step in, step back, soften, hold boundaries…
all while quietly wondering if you’re doing enough.

This is the hard part of parenting.
The part that doesn’t make it onto highlight reels.

And yet — even when it feels invisible —
your calm matters.

It teaches safety.
It teaches repair.
It teaches your children that big feelings can exist without everything falling apart.

So if today feels heavy,
if you’re tired of being the steady one,
if you’re scared of burning yourself out…

Please know this:
you are not alone.
And you are doing something deeply important — even on the days it doesn’t feel like it. 🤍

This time of year can bring a little extra stress for all of us — the busyness, the pressure, the emotions that December brings.
Meditation is such a beautiful way to pause, ground yourself and come back to your own energy. ✨

My last guided meditation class of the year will be on Tuesday 16th December, and there are only a few spaces left. After that, I’ll be taking a short break as I’m going in for an operation, so our next class together will be Tuesday 3rd February in the new year.

If you can’t make the class, don’t worry — you can still join in from home.
From Thursday, I’ll have a full list of guided meditation recordings available for just £5 each, so you can enjoy them whenever you need a moment of calm.

When that wave of grief hits you again and knocks you off balance — not quite off your feet, but enough to catch your breath — you realise something…
You are learning to ride the wave. Now I get it. Each time it rises, I’m learning to surrender to it. To let the feelings come up, to honour them, but not let them consume or control me.

This time of year is so hard for so many, for so many different reasons.
This is my first Christmas without my Grump, and the closer it gets, the more that reality sinks in. It’s a strange mix of love, ache, memories and longing — all drifting in like the tide.

But I’m learning. I’m breathing. I’m riding the waves the best I can.
And if you’re doing the same, you’re not alone.

Today I want to express my deep gratitude to each and every one of you who comes along to my meditation classes, attends workshops, or books in for a treatment with me. And to everyone who likes, comments on, and shares my posts — your support truly means the world.

At this time of year, self-care becomes even more important. Life gets busy, emotions run high, and it’s so easy to forget about ourselves. There are so many wonderful therapists and healing spaces out there, so thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for choosing me and allowing me to be a small part of your journey. 🖤

I have a couple of appointments left before Christmas for Reiki, Crystal Therapy with Reiki, or Drum Healing if you feel called to book in some much-needed energy work before the festive season truly begins.

My next guided meditation class is Tuesday 16th December at 6.30pm, and spaces are already filling up. I’m really looking forward to this one — the last class before Christmas and New Year — a perfect moment to pause, reset, and take that hour just for you.

As we move into the busy festive season, it’s the perfect time to realign your energy, release what’s been weighing you down, and give your mind and body some much-needed nourishment.

Being surrounded by the right people can change you in ways you never imagined. 💛
This weekend has been one of the most wholesome, soul-filling weekends with friends… and it made me realise what I want more of in my everyday life — and what I no longer want to carry with me.

For the first time in a long time, I felt like I could truly breathe again.
Waking up in the grandest room, sunlight pouring through the window, wrapped in the soft sound of silence… I felt a deep sense of peace. A moment where everything inside me finally settled, and I thought, “This is how life is meant to feel.”

Life is a journey of ups and downs, twists and lessons… but at the end of the day, it’s up to you to create the life you want. To move with the ebb and flow. To choose peace. To choose joy. To choose the people who feel like home.

Only you can make the changes.
Only you can turn the page.
For you are the author of your own story. ✨

Thank you so much to everyone who came along to tonight’s guided meditation class. It was such a peaceful, grounding evening and I’m truly grateful for every single one of you who chose to take that time for yourselves. ✨
