Exploring the angle of the head/neck
There is no set position for the head to be in this shape.
Only which sensation you feel works for you, having the forehead resting down on a block can be more appropriate for some, taking some pressure away from the lower back.
Others might prefer to have the head lifted or chin resting against a block bringing a stretch to the front of the neck.
Neither is right or wrong....

Caterpillar - Paschimottanasana - Seated forward fold

In our Yin approach to a posture we can allow ourselves time to experiment & explore how different angles of a shape can affect the sensations felt over time, creating just the right amount of pull to the desired area

Here in a seated forward fold we might focus on just the legs or just the back..or the whole back of the body as one, how we adjust ourselves with or without the use of props, learning to feel our way in
