EuroEyes proudly announces that Dr. Glenn Carp, partner of Prof. Dan Reinstein, London Vision Clinic and Member of the EuroEyes Group of Eye Clinics, was honored with the Kritzinger Safari Award during the biannual meeting of the South African Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (SASCRS) in Durban on November 8, 2024. The award was presented to Dr. Carp (center) by Dr. Ed Anderson (left), president of SASCRS, and Dr. Frik Potgieter (right), member of the SACRS executive committee.

Professor Dan Reinstein honoured with the prestigious José Barraquer Award

The EuroEyes Clinic Group congratulates Professor Dan Reinstein, one of the world's leading experts in the field of refractive surgery and part of the EuroEyes Clinic Group since 2022, on being awarded the prestigious José Barraquer Award. This award, which is considered one of the highest honours in ophthalmology, is awarded for outstanding contributions to refractive surgery and recognises Professor Reinstein's outstanding achievements in the further development of innovative technologies and procedures.

The José Barraquer Award, named after the famous Colombian ophthalmologist Dr José Barraquer, who is also honoured as the ‘father of refractive surgery’, is awarded to ophthalmologists and scientists who have made significant and lasting contributions to refractive surgery. With this award, Professor Reinstein joins an exclusive list of doctors whose work has significantly expanded the treatment options in ophthalmology.

Congratulations to EuroEyes Group! ZEISS Medical Technology’s Dr. Michael Achtelik, Head of Global Key Accounts, recently attended EuroEyes Group’s celebration marking the one-year anniversary of its Laser Eye Clinic in London. Michael was also honored to award EuroEyes founder and CEO, Dr. Joern Joergensen, for his clinics’ achievement of performing the most implantations of the ZEISS AT LISA Trifocal lenses for patients worldwide this year, a milestone EuroEyes has now achieved for eight consecutive years.
