You have more of a say over your life than you realise. Until a word isn't spoken or a thought hasn't been fed and given life, all that exists is possibility.

Take a moment and go back over the last few moments of your life, the last few interactions with people or thoughts you gave energy. How different could it have been if you said something different or changed the angle of you internal dialogue ?

Awareness is a powerful tool. You can become more in control of the story of your life.

I always say - Meditation instead of medication, saved my life !!!

Scientific research using MRI scans show structural and functional changes in the brain only after an average of 6-8 weeks of meditation on average :

For example -

● In the Cerebral Cortex activity is increased
● In the Hippocampus thickening occurs
● The Insula gets energised, expands and grows
● The Amygdala displays thinning

The above changes creates positive benefits that relate to improved Mental health, overall feelings of wellbeing and just a better quality of life.

We can't always escape our lives or go somewhere exotic to find some peace. Sometimes you have to find that peace wherever you are.

I always suggest to my clients create a space in their home or wherever they live where to can just take a mindful moment . Your space can become your savour and nurture you whenever you need a boost.

Use your space to just switch off, meditate, journal or just reflect in silence. Literally just recharge your batteries.

If you ask people what peace would mean to them, the answers often relate to a mental state plus connected to their emotions.

What I have seen in my work is that people often achieve feelings of peace by just changing their physiological state.

By calming the nervous system, regulating the heart rhythm and just slowing down the breath, people often achieve feeling more peaceful. A definite proof of the Mind/Body connection.

A powerful mindful habit is making time to journal.

By making the time to write down your thoughts, experiences and even intentions you will notice benefits - from a more ordered focused mind to feeling peaceful and calm. Journaling has proven to have many positive psychological benefits.

It is also a moment where you can just disconnect from the outside noise and connect to yourself on purpose. A reflective moment that belongs to you and you alone. A real mindful moment.

Writing is sensory and what you write is mental. Together it can help to regulate your emotions by creating an opportunity to release what is going on within you. I call it therapy without a therapist.
