Planning Ahead with our ‘My Wishes’ Leaflet

Thinking about your own funeral can feel difficult, but many families find comfort in knowing their loved one’s wishes are understood.

Our ‘My Wishes’ leaflet allows you to record the details that matter most to you — from music choices to personal touches — giving peace of mind that everything is arranged just as you would want.

Once completed, you can:
• Hand it to a loved one
• Keep it in a safe place
• Or leave it with us to hold until the time comes

Taking this simple step can bring great reassurance to both you and your family.

If you’d like a copy of our ‘My Wishes’ leaflet, please contact our offices — we’re here to help.

“Thank you to Callum and all the team for all your help, especially making arrangements so that our daughter could come and say goodbye to Nan on the morning of the funeral. Nothing was too much trouble and we all greatly appreciated the friendly and professional way you dealt with everything. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone in the future.”

A big thank you to the Launceston Carnival Committee for inviting us to take the six lady judges from Newport Industrial Estate back along the carnival route to the town square.

It was fantastic to see so many wonderful floats, smiling faces, and great community spirit — what a turnout!

And yes… we couldn’t help but laugh at where Kingsley ended up parked – right next to Health & Beauty! Fizzy Whizzy Woo – lovely to be alongside our Church Street neighbours!

We’d like to take a moment to wish Dave Gynn, of David Gynn Memorials in Launceston, a very happy and well-earned retirement.

Dave has worked closely with Arthur, Kingsley & Will, and the rest of our team since the 1990s, providing expert support and craftsmanship in all things memorial. His knowledge, care, and dedication have been a great help to our families and our business over the years.

We’re delighted to know that his sons, Harry and Eddie, will be continuing the family business, ensuring the same quality and service that Dave has always provided.

Thank you, Dave, for everything you’ve done – we wish you all the very best for your retirement!

A special look back through the generations at Arthur W. Bryant Funeral Service.

The first photo shows Will Bryant (3rd generation) behind the wheel of one of our vehicles as a youngster. Today, history repeats itself as Henry Bryant (4th generation) takes the wheel at a similar age.

It’s moments like these that remind us how proud we are to be a family-run funeral service, serving our community with care, dignity, and tradition for generations.

We are so grateful to receive kind feedback. We believe that a funeral should be a true reflection of a loved one's life, and it means so much to hear that we were able to help achieve this.

“I wanted to say how grateful we are for the help and support we received around our father's death and planning his funeral. Your service was professional, friendly and sensitive at all times. All our requests were accommodated, to the last details, and we were very happy with the service. We feel the service really reflected our Dad and we are grateful that you helped us to do that.”
Miss H, Bude
