❔When should you book on to a workshop ❔
🗓You can book on to the workshops at any time, and take them in any order you like!
🤰🏾I’d say the best time to begin your workshop is between 28-32 weeks gestation
🤰🏼You can book up to 6 months in advance, so if you’re in the early stages of pregnancy and wanted to book - please do, as spaces are limited!
🤰🏿The group workshops will run on a weekly basis in blocks of four weeks each month. Private 1-1 workshops can be slotted in whenever you like
🤰🏻If you’re unsure when to book your HAABI workshop, send me a DM or email and we can discuss and get you booked in.
🙋🏽‍♀️ Alternatively, why not book on to the FREE 30 min taster session (online whilst lockdown continues!)? Taster session info to follow 🤗

Antenatal after infertility ✨
I’m so proud to have connected with and provide antenatal education workshops for those who have had a difficult journey to pregnancy and parenthood
Via I provide workshops for those who have conceived via donor conception
We felt there weren’t any midwife-led workshops or courses out there aimed at those who have had a difficult journey to fertility and pregnancy, and so via I am lunching new workshops ✨
‘Antenatal after infertility’ aims to provide a safe, sensitive and welcoming space for those who have had a difficult TTC journey and to help them connect with others who have had a similar journey
Group and private workshops are launching on the website in the next few days. Workshops are open worldwide and can be taken online from the comfort of your own home ✨
Please share and send to friends who might find this helpful 💕

Let's talk about 💩
I've included some helpful information in the pictures above. We cover causes, treatment and that dreaded first postnatal poo (spoiler alert- it's absolutely FINE!)
Have a wee read, share and save for later if you find it helpful. Did you have constipation in pregnancy or the postnatal period? Were you able to remedy it yourself? Do you have any other tips that I haven't included on here? Let me know in the comments!

DID MY WATERS JUST BREAK?!

It doesn’t always happen like it does on TV! Actually... it rarely happens that way 😂 Some signs of your waters breaking might include:

✨Damp underwear
✨A big gush
✨A one off or constant little trickle
✨Feeling like you’ve wet yourself
✨Waking up to a rather wet bed
✨A popping or feeling of release in pressure

Concerning characteristics of amniotic fluid colour:
💥 Green in colour
💥 Bright red / fresh blood
💥 Brown
💥 Foul smelling

Normal amniotic fluid colour:
⚡️ Clear
⚡️ Slightly pinkish

If you’re unsure - call your midwife or local maternity unit, and they’ll be more than happy to see you and check you over.

Did your waters break on their own or did you have yours broken as part of an induction of labour?

What was it like and where were you when it happened?

Drama or no drama? 😂 🌊💧

Today is the official launch day for Paths to Parent-hub - a membership online platform for those on their TTC journey to donor conception. Becky () has worked tirelessly to create this special space online full of support groups, resources, workshops, webinars and MUCH more!
The platform covers support for those trying to conceive (TTC), who are pregnant, who have had their baby or have older children, who are donors themselves and for those who are donor conceived children.
I feel SO privileged that Becky asked me to be a part of PtPH. So, how will HAABI be getting involved? We’ll be slotting in to the antenatal and birth education section of the platform. It can be hard for parents to be to find a network of people who can relate to their TTC journey and the struggles they have gone through to get to the stage that they are pregnant. PtPH x HAABI will create a safe space for parents to be, to learn about the last stages of pregnancy, right through to the birth of their baby. All of this, whilst making new friends and a support network of people who understand the difficulties of TTC

You can find out more about via the link in their bio and more about HAABI under the ‘courses’ tab on their website. There’s an exclusive discount for the HAABI course for PTPH members. There’s 10% off monthly and annual memberships until the end of the week, and the October and November HAABI course dates are up already! I’ll be doing an insta live with Becky this week to tell you a bit more – can’t wait!
Please share if you can! Tag anyone who might find this helpful on their TTC journey. Also, don’t forget to follow
Ps, this was initially intended as a story but was too long - sorry the tag didn’t appear on the video 😂

Another from me 😅😂 this time on induction of labour - medical methods!
I understand that some may not view a membrane sweep as a ‘medical’ induction method, but I do! It’s performed by a medical professional and isn’t really a ‘natural’ method, is it? 😂 so here it will stay!
We have both pharmacological and mechanical methods included in the video;
⚡️Membrane sweep
⚡️Prostaglandins (either in gel or pessary form
⚡️Rupturing membranes / breaking the waters
⚡️Cervical ripening balloon
⚡️Synthetic oxytocin aka ‘hormone drip’
This video is just part one of a very long series - too much to fit in to one tiktok! In the next video, I’ll go in to each of these methods and share some more information with you. Bitesize is key!
I’ll also be covering natural methods of induction too ⭐️
Did you have an induction of labour? What was your experience like? Let me know in the comments below 👇🏽 as always, I’d appreciate it if you could share this video if you found it interesting 😚

Movements Matter 🦶
Your baby’s only way of communicating with you is through their movements. A baby slowing down or when movements stop altogether can be a sign that baby is unwell
Babies can move less to conserve energy, when they aren’t getting enough nutrients or oxygen through the placenta
In 2018, 2943 babies were stillborn in the U.K. that’s 8 babies per day. 50% of pregnant people noticed a reduction in movements before their baby passed away
Monitoring your baby’s movements is crucial in pregnancy. If you notice a change in pattern or reduction in movements then please get seen straight away - don’t delay!
Maternity units are open 24/7 and the midwife will always be happy to see you and check you and baby over
Check out my latest blog post for information on baby’s movements and the charity .count who do wonderful work in raising awareness and saving little lives ⭐️
