🧶✨ A Heartwarming Visit to Knit and Natter ✨🧶
On Tuesday, 2nd December 2025, Mandie Lynes had the pleasure of visiting the wonderful Knit and Natter group at the Pelsall Community Centre in Walsall. With 15 dedicated members, this inspiring group comes together not just to chat and knit, but to create beautiful items for neonatal departments and babies in ITU.
Their incredible work includes crafting tiny hats, blankets, and sleeves to ensure that cannulas and wires stay secure for the little ones who need it most. Additionally, the ladies knit poppies, with proceeds going to support our Armed Forces, showcasing their commitment to local causes and the community.
As the festive season approaches, they are also setting up a toy bank to help struggling families, spreading joy and kindness in our community.
Mandie enjoyed a lovely chat with group leader Yvonne Wint and was delighted to leave the ladies with goody bags filled with biscuits and cake as a small token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication.

🌟 Celebrating 20 Years of Dedication: Kim Lloyd at Halliwell Funeral Service 🌟
Today, we are thrilled to honour Kim Lloyd, who has dedicated 20 remarkable years to Halliwell Funeral Service at our Great Wyrley branch. Originally starting her journey at the Heath Hayes branch, a chance conversation with a colleague led Kim to swap locations, allowing her to serve the community she has called home since 1964.
Kim's deep-rooted connections in Great Wyrley have made her an invaluable asset to our team. Many of the families she assists are not only familiar faces but also returning clients, reflecting the trust and compassion she brings to her role. Her commitment to providing exceptional care during difficult times has touched countless lives in our community.
In recognition of her hard work and dedication, Kim was presented with a letter of gratitude from the CEO of Tamworth Cooperative Society by David Thomas, Manager, along with £100 worth of vouchers as a token of appreciation. This acknowledgment is a testament to the impact Kim has made over the years.

We had the privilege of conducting a truly unique funeral today, featuring a stunning steam traction engine and vintage cars, reflecting the passions of the deceased. Tommy Angel and his dedicated team were honoured to be part of this special send-off, celebrating a life filled with love for these magnificent machines. It was a heartfelt tribute that truly captured the essence of the individual.
