Effective communication is vital in creating a more inclusive and accessible society, and British Sign Language week has highlighted the importance of a hands-free approach for members of the Deaf community receiving care.

Wherever possible it is important to improve opportunities for patients to communicate with interpreters and healthcare providers.

The soft, flexible Optishield has proved invaluable in offering hands-free occlusion in optometry and ophthalmology for a number of different clinical situations, resulting in an examination more comfortable for both patients and clinicians.
